Esprit Performing Arts is a vibrant institution located at 220 East Park Street in Auburndale, Florida. Our talented dancers, such as Jojo (Johanna Martinez), represent Esprit Performing Arts with grace and skill at events like the Luminous Dance Tour in North Carolina. Our students work hard to perfect their routines and showcase their talents on stage, earning top prizes and accolades.
While enrollment for the current season may be closed, we invite you to stay updated on our upcoming summer classes and Fall 2024 enrollment. For older or more advanced dancers, we welcome you to join our weekly drop-in classes to experience the vibrant studio atmosphere firsthand. "My family has been involved with this studio from the time it was first established. The journey we have been involved in could not be more positively impactful for my daughter's growth and development as a dancer and as a member of a team. The owner and instructor, Sonya Cheatwood, is one of the most caring and talented artists I have ever known and I have been involved in the performing arts for over 20 years. Her choreography in all styles has won awards at various competitions and her creativity with the conceptual aspect of developing the strengths of every student is unparalleled. This studio is a small hometown environment that allows for each child to have a connection with their instructor Miss Sonya allowing for them to not only develop their technique and ability but also to be "seen", which is not always the case in the larger more established studios. I recommend this studio to everyone who is looking for high quality dance training. This studio has recreational classes in all styles for ages 2-adult and has a focused competitive dance team that earns top awards at Regional and National dance competitions.
