Colonial Jewelry & Pawn

"A couple years ago I would have given them five stars. But recently I've caught the lady on 3 different occasions being dishonest with me about jewelry. I had the items professionally appraised and I was furious to say the least. Mind you my intentions were not to sell the pieces. Just to get an idea of what they are. My trust with them is completely gone. Definitely get a second opinion before dealing with them on jewelry. Better yet just don't deal with them on jewelry."

"Ok, trust me. I would love to do a great review of this place, but I can't. Here's why. First, I define a pawn shop as "a place that buys almost anything from you." or "Pawn Stars". now this place is more like a "we buy your junk, nothing valuable (unless it's guns or currency), store". now why do I say this? well, I walk in. To the left is some jewelry and currency in the glass casing, while there are just guns on the wall. now I go up to the counter with my Bell & Howell 461A Super 8 Autoload Projector which is at least $200. and immediately, they are like, "No sorry we don't take that". In my mind, I'm thinking, "It's a pawn shop. They should be able to buy it". as I walk out, I see some old electronics like a Nintendo 3DS and an old Apple laptop from 2006. and they they had some old monitors so I thought I would come back with an old monitor I had. So I came back with my monitor, and this lady outside said, "ya, we don't take any electronics over 2 years old". and this kind of makes me pissed. I'm thinking to myself while walking back to my car, "I didn't even walk into the store and they won't take my monitor?! well, that just stinks. they had old electronics and junk in there. now, I can't end badly. so, a person from a different store recommended "Dudley's Auction. about 5-8 miles south from this "pawn shop". After walking in and looking at the giant gear molds they have for factories a very nice lady introduced herself and I asked if they purchase anything from people. they looked at my monitor and she said "How much?" I asked if $20 was okay(I got the monitor for 12) and she was like "Deal" I walked out with a smile. moral of the story, If you walk into a pawn shop with new used hardware, leave and run. bad service, and rude. 2 stars."

"Pick an opal ring here a few days before my birthday that needed to be resized before wearing, ‘casually’ mentioned I’d love to wear it to the dinner my family was having for me- within a few hours- my ring was ready for pick up. Great service and beautiful swift craftsmanship the resizing. Thank you!"

"Was going through a hard time and needed a loan, the Gentleman who I’m sure owns the place was extremely nice and told me if I ever couldn’t make a payment to call and he would work with me. When I picked my stuff up it was taken care of like there own and I actually just made a payment a few days prior so he gave me the some cash back after I paid the bill with another employee. It restored my faith in people to have someone be kind. Thank you"

"I went in to buy some jewelry and the staff were wonderful. Andy is an amazing owner who really seems to care about his staff and work, and his staff is just as amazing. Everything was fairly priced and they explained everything I had questions about. The shop was clean and had very interesting items throughout the store. Couldn't recommend a better pawn shop :)"
