"Papa Rocco's is a very interesting place. It's very much a dive, hole in the wall, hang out with your friends and watch sports kind of place. It seems like a spot for the locals, njot so much for tourists. The service was great, Christy was super friendly. What it is not is a place to get great Italian food. We ordered nachos, spaghetti, pizza, and Alfredo. The cheese and chili were canned, there spaghetti and Alfredo sauce also seemed from a jar. I was very disappointed that the seafood was not available. The pizza was ok, not the best, but not the worst. I would go back if I lived in town and wanted to watch the game with friends. But as a tourist, I would find another place."
"Really enjoyed our experience at Pap Rocco's. We shared 2 pizzas (1: sausage and extra cheese, 2: supreme) and spaghetti. Someone else in our group had the French dip. Food was fantastic, service was great, and the live music added to our experience! Would definitely reccomend!"
"We enjoyed a birthday dinner out at Papa Rocco’s while we were in Gulf Shores! It’s definitely not a fancy restaurant, but if you want good, local, dive bar pizza, this is where to go. The staff was relaxed and helpful but not overbearing. They also have live music from local artists — our night was a blues singer. We got stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and two 14” pizzas for 4 hungry adults. The stuffed mushrooms were creamy and cheesy, but there were only about 10 mushrooms in the sauce. Delicious, but mostly the sauce. We got a seafood primavera pizza, and a BBQ Chicken pizza. They were both delicious — homemade nice crisp crust with a yeasty chew. The seafood (shrimp and scallops) melted in your mouth. The BBQ Chicken could’ve used more barbecue sauce, but the bacon crunchies and the chicken matched well with the onions. All in all the crust was KILLER and the best part of the pizza and elevated the rest of it. We’d stop here again!"
"This is a perfect restaurant for the whole family. The burger I got there was by far the best I had during my trip to Alabama. It was delicious. The spaghetti and pizza were big hits with the kids and the prices were so reasonable. The service was fantastic too. Highly recommend."
"We are in Orange Beach for the first time. The waitress took care of us well, just was not necessarily "above and beyond" to earn 5 stars. The atmosphere was fun, and I think there is a story that goes along with the owner, as there were many pictures of him and newspaper articles with his picture, but we did not stop to read them--it was getting pretty crowded. I would recommend this place. Many varieties for the pizzas and plenty of other choices on the menu. My daughter loved her baked pasta Alfredo with spinach, the cheesy bread we got as an appetizer was large, but the cheese did not cover both slices. My pizza had chicken, bacon bits, tomato, spinach, and an Alfredo base. It was really tasty, and I loved everything about it, except the crust seemed a little too salty to me. Maybe it's just me. We would go here again though, for sure."
