"Our 6-yr-old daughter Penelope started at Keiko Shin 9 months ago, attending the after school program. Ms. Ibe was very helpful in getting her enrolled and settled. Penelope immediately fell in love with karate and her amazing and VERY PATIENT Sensei, Miss Destiny. We have noticed a big improvement in her attention span, ability to focus, discipline and her overall “toughness”. She has recently started training to be on the competition team and is very excited to train with Sensei Ernesto. She not only gets plenty of exercise with her training but has also made lots of friends. At first, we were worried that her school work would suffer because of the time and attention to karate instead of homework; but we couldn’t be happier. She is on the honor roll and is doing great in school because of the discipline and character building she is learning from karate. We would highly recommend Keiko Shin to anyone looking to join a karate family, not just a dojo."
