"I really like this campus. It’s very modern and pleasant to visit. Be careful about parking though, I’ve gotten a ticket before. You can order it free from BC website, it takes only three days and u can print out a temporary one the same day. It would also be nice if there was somewhere to eat inside of here"
"Wouldn’t even waste my time applying here I tried to call the support center for some information on the tabe test, I was sent to 3 different people for information only to be hung up on 30 mins later, I called again the next day just for information on the tabe test I was transferred more then 5 times! I’m not even making this up, I had to be on the phone and on hold for just under 2 hours just to be transferred to a person who wasn’t even there. I did leave a voice mail and I haven’t received a phone call yet I had a few buddy’s of mine that went to this school they all told me the same thing, apply somewhere else I figured I’d give them a try because the schools only 15 mins from my house but after all that’s happened I wouldn’t mind driving an hour to palm beach state just to have known this school isn’t getting my money."
"I can only comment on the Front Desk, Financial Advisor and Admissions staff. In which were polite for the most part but it seems as if when the work study people are there they are just so impatient and believe that they can read your mind. The entire time I was trying to ask a question the young man at the Front Desk just would not stop trying to over talk me. Finally I just gave up and became what most would call irate but I would call frustrated. And that ya know solved all the problems I had"
"Broward College is by far the worst college I have ever had to deal with. The nursing program is extremely corrupt. The rumors are true and there is a reason that they only show you their NCLEX pass rates and not their graduation rate. Between all 4 campuses, (north, south, central, LPN-RN transition, and Online RN) this school at least admits 900 students per year for nursing. In 2014 only 380 graduated. I started at Central in the summer of 2015, and of over 100 people only 12 made it to GIGU. This is nursing- it is not the green berets. RUN away. WARNING: the central campus does NOT prohibit the use of calculators on the math tests but north and south do. This school will eat you alive even outside of the nursing department. The bookstore is a racket, the financial aid department doesn't care about you, and you'll feel more like just a number than a human being than ever before in your life. If you think education at this school is your ticket out of poverty, you are wrong. I had a teacher who was never prepared for class and consistently gave wrong information to us, and nothing was done about it. I made countless attempts to remedy unfair matters with the deans, but they had NO regard for me at all. Go ANYWHERE but Broward college. I am ashamed to be an alumnus here."
"Don't ever ask help at the front desk in the admissions office or the financial aid advisor. Ever! I had a horrible experience. Every single time i came to this campus and went to the admissions, they would either answer your questions rudely or have no answer at all. I also received my financial aid funding very late in the semester and had to pay partially for my classes only because their only financial adviser couldn't do his job seriously. He plays music while talking to the students in his office, which i think is quite unprofessional, and sometimes when i talk to him, he doesn't look me directly in the eye and would often glance at his computer. Since July of this year, I kept visiting him to check on my financial aid status and he would never take me seriously. I sent in some paperwork for immigration stuff and he sent the wrong paperwork at least three times. I had to do it myself. Anything i asked the front desk, they had no answer. I don't mean to be blunt but it's true, it's rare to find someone in this campus that could help you. On my first semester here, I went to see an adviser to sign up for classes. (Won't give out any names but once you go there, you'll probably figure it out) Anyway the advisor signed me up manually because there was a problem with the system (so she says) and said she sent an email to the maintenance to have them fix it so next time I could sign up for classes online by myself. 4 months later, I still couldn't. Just this month I got an email about receiving financial aid and the financial advisor didn't even call me to say it has come (he promised he would call if there was good news) Just yesterday, I went to BC Central Campus and asked the front desk about my problem with signing up for classes, after waiting for 5 minutes, the problem was gone! I'm not trying to give a bad impression for the downtown campus but that is what they gave me and i am NEVER ever asking for help from the staff here. I do not mean the professors, i mean the people at the admissions office, there are a few but most of them have no idea about the things you ask them lol. If you need help with anything, go to BC Central."
