"I had major back surgery on September the 18th, The nightmare started when I got to my room 2306 on the med-surg floor after the surgery and it took 3 hours for a nurse to come & assess me. The next day was better I had a nurse named Kelly and a tech named Tamira 7p-7a, it was a 5-day stay and the only other nurses that I had that cared were Savannah and Steven, both 7a-7p. My stay was from 9/18-9/23. A nurse named Danielle, was the nurse from hell who left me with no pain meds, an infiltrated IV & the alert pad for fall risk & was removed by a tech & thrown on a chair after she turned the alarm off & not helping me (I have pictures). Danielle and this crew will be reported. There's much more to my 5 days of hell, but not enough room here. I'll save all that for reporting to the correct authorities. St Vincents used to be the best in Jacksonville, now it's the worst & I will NEVER stay or go there again!"
"My spouse waited nearly 7 hrs in the ER after a fall for an injured arm just to be referred somewhere else. Left with no answers. Staff and doctor seemed annoyed to have to help…just pushed opioids for pain. Pretty sure it’s a torn rotator cuff. Just bad vibes all around. Only went here since it was the closest ER…never again."
"First of all, St. Vincent’s and Dr. Pradan saved my wife’s life by removing her brain tumor!! The GREAT NURSES Gary, Timika, Pam, Carla and others on 2 Center 2300 were Very Caring!! Others were not after 4 days of care but they won’t be mentioned. Even the Housekeeper who CUT UP MY WIFES FOOD when the nurse wasn’t around was Great!! Yes their are some uncaring individuals passing time but The GOOD OUTWEIGHS THE BAD!! The Case Managers all lie and pass the blame around. They’re a waste of time!! And finally THANK YOU to the REHABILITATION TEAM that helped out in many ways and Especially Rehab RN ANGIE who made me cry and kept us from being embarrassed by our insurance company. ANGIE went BEYOND HER DUTIES AND HELPED US OUT TREMENDOUSLY!! Thanks Again RN GARY, TECH TIMIKA, and REHAB RN ANGIE♥️"
"Absolutely horrible billing practices! We got one bill almost a year after our son was born. Called to confirm the details and what it was related to. They wouldn't even tell us the name of the doctor or what services were provided. Kept trying to get information and after researching and calling the hospital could not validate the billed amount or if they had even processed it through insurance. Fast forward to today, no further letters or bills received after the initial one and they sent it to collections. Not even sure how that is legal but shame on ya'll for putting families through that kind of stress for no reason."
"Horrible experience with the billing. I informed them the moment I found out I was still on my parents insurance and that my husbands insurance was going to be requesting the money they had paid on a previous claim back. Informed them that they would need to file the claim with my parents insurance as my parents is primary (its a very odd case, I know, but none the less its reality I'm still on my parents insurance). The receptionist stated that she still had my parents insurance on file and she would make note of it and let the billing department handle the matter. Today, I received a call from, Jennifer, in the billing department demanding I pay the balance on the account as my husbands insurance has requested the money back. I asked if they ever filed the claim to my parents insurance and was informed no and that too much time had passed by and that I was now responsible. I kept demanding that they file the claim with my parents insurance and that was the phone call. They do not care nor do they listen or follow direction or understand how filing claims work. I have been working filing dental claims for the last 17 years of my life. I know how the process works. I also know that a doctors office only has "x" amount of time to file a claim and if it is not done in a timely manner during the allotted time frame, the patient is not responsible for the money. It's the provider fault and they have to eat the cost. Next time might I suggest you be on top of your responsibilities and listen to your patient when they state what is going on."
