Reviews of Physicians' Primary Care of SWFL Camelot Pediatrics
"I know everyone has a say when comes about our children’s health, and mostly negative experiences. Well I want to emphasize the high availability of this clinic, they have multiple locations, and they almost always accept same day appointments for sick children, and that’s something that I always am thankful for. My son started with a wheezing and I went the same day (Saturday ) I noticed to this location. So, I was able to start with the treatment right away."
"Wow! This place has gone down hill fast. I was seen for a sick visit with my daughter on Wednesday and was told by the doctor I saw to update the office if she has continued to have a fever and had any pain! So I do exactly that just to see if I need to be seen or if a script can be called in so my daughter is not in pain. So I speak to their on call nurse Jane to inform me over two hours after I left a message that if I want to be seen I need to come like right now cause the doctors wanna go home! Wow how nice of you. Not only is this poor behavior as a medical office it is real terrible way to treat a mother that is seeking medical advice and acting on exactly what the doctor advised her to do! Thanks for zero help or concern! I work for a medical office and I would be fired if I treated patients this way. I will make sure to call on Monday to request my records! No longer a good practice I wish Dr.Wiggins worked at another office cause he is the only doctor worth your time and cares."
"Update I decided to give this place another try, solely on the fact they responded. I can say that I would now give it 4 stars based on the care she has received since. The staff has been great and and I was actually refunded the overcharge without even asking for it so the person on the phone was correct! My next visit I was charged appropriately. I would recommend. Original review Initially, I would have recommended the pediatric center at Camelot, but after today I would not. My 2.5 month old baby has really bad acid reflux. We live in Switzerland so when it got worse upon visiting I decided to take her to see a physician here. I wanted to anyway since I am more comfortable with the language and health system here as well. So, I called since it would be out of pocket pay as my baby and I are insured in Switzerland and was quoted 90 to 150 as uninsured is discounted. I left there paying 250...but that isn't even why I wouldn't recommend. The dr advised I call back in 1 to 2 weeks to let her know if the meds prescribed were working or if we needed to try something else. Well, it has actually gotten worse so I called back today as advised. The office called back and said the Dr recommends thickening the formula with oatmeal...ok pause...First of all my child is exclusively breastfed and her records indicate such...so did anyone even look at her record before calling me? Secondly, when I said this to the lady on the phone she just said oh ok so do you want to bring her in to have her re-evaluated...umm pay you another 250 for nothing, no thanks I will pass. I will say the stafff and Dr were great at the visit, but this follow up care was beyond subpar and highly disappointing."
"Dr. Crater and D'Alessandro were great with my newborn. However, the desk staff is on their cellphones the entire time and not friendly at all. I went up to the woman at checkout after my appointment and she was scrolling through her phone for a solid 3-4 minutes before I told her I needed to book my son's 2 month checkup.. still just looked at her phone and didn't even acknowledge me! I was standing right in front of her."
