"THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!! Beware of Sara Sacks !! She is not interested in the recovery of her clients, but talks of the million dollar home she just built with the money she is rolling in from everyone's insurance!! Her first priority is money and not the welfare of her clients or their recovery!! She collected $700.00 each visit, 3 visits a week for months only to say that the client was not one she could help! She will not release records to the patients, which by the way is illegal, THEY ARE THE CLIENTS RECORDS NOT HERS!!, because she is most likely padding them for financial gain with the insurance companies. Just so disrespectful and unlawful to the client and community she is supposed to be helping. DISGUSTING !!!!!"

"I have been under the guidance and care of transformations recovery and La Via since July of 2017. In the 9 months I have been here I’ve not progressed in my recovery and I’ve unfortunatly gone backwards. I’ve gotten a DUI charge and totaled 2 cars. Sarah Sacks is the person partly responsible for this. She made me pack my things in the middle of the night and leave the villas. I had no place to go. Of course someone in a terrible situation and desperation with an addiction problem is going to struggle given the scenario. Sarah knew this. She only cares about money. The second I got into an accident from drinking and driving my parents called Sarah and she said I could come back for a $1500 fee. She tries to say that she’ll waive the administration fee upon admission because she wants to help you but then she’ll get a hold of one of your family members credit cards and then the required monthly doctor visits start. She is not a licensed physician and yet she sits in with the doctor and tells him exactly what to write. In the 9 months I’ve been here there hasn’t been 1 employee that has been onboard consistently. She can’t rven keep therapists. Please read all reviews carefully I understand some people write them out of spite but I’m writing this explaining my shortcomings to help the next struggling addict."

"I have been an employee with LaviaDetox for eight months, and can personally say that I have not seen such care placed in the formation of a sobriety community. I did not use the term "halfway house." It is indeed a sober community. Residents are provided with a safe environment to grow and develop a more secure sobriety foundation. It's location all in itself is a testament to Sarah Sacks commitment to ensuring security as well as safety. Now as we all know in recovery there are those that will take advantage, and not work an honest program. When boundaries or limits are set. Who does that fall upon, the resident or the proprietor? Those leaving negative comments who failed to utilize the tools provided to you. Take inventory please. For those leaving posts and have not even been part of the program, choosing to perpetuate baseless rumors, get honest. You could not ask for a better place to begin sober living."
