"In July of 2023 I decided to have a mini tummy tuck with Dr. Perez-Gurri. I felt confident that he would do a great job due to my previous experience with him with my breast augmentation surgery. The surgery went well, however, I had concerns with my incision. I had developed a bunching of excess skin at left end of the surgical scar and the incision itself was not straight. I brought up my concerns to him and he assured me that he would take care of the bunching of the skin, which he did. As to the uneven scar, his response was that most tummy tuck incisions are like that. He gave me other excuses, and decided not to correct his initial error. His response about most tummy tuck scars being uneven did not sit well with me. I had a mini, which is a smaller incision. It was a poor and invalid excuse for his wrongdoing. The surgeon has control of where and how he cuts the incision. There should be no uneven scar if the surgeon does his job well."
