"I saw Dr. Elder and his staff for pain in my left hip. After an in-depth conversation and physical exam with Sean, he sent me to x-Ray and ultrasound (in-office, same day), suspecting that I had a tear in my glute med. Sure enough, that was my issue. I did a PRP injection and some PT. After 6 weeks I felt about 75% better, but not 100%. I opted to do the second PRP injection and more PT. I am now almost 3 months post-procedure and I feel great. I have no pain in my hip. My follow-up ultrasound today just showed a nice clean, nearly 100% healed muscle. Now I am ready to increase my strengthening and activity (mainly running), and I fully expect that if I increase wisely, I will be back to 100% in time.
