"CIGNA CARRIERS BEWARE - I called to make an appointment for my husband back in December 2022. According to the office, they called Cigna to make sure they were in Network, once they got the ok from the insurance, they called me back to confirm the appointment. My husband was seeing by the office in December 2022, January 2023 and February 2023. Last week (7 months later), they called me to let me know that the insurance didn't pay and that I'll be taking to COLLECTIONS 3 days later if I don't pay! (Same complaint as the other reviews! I should've read the reviews earlier) Usually when the insurance doesn't pay, the medical office will send you a bill or a call and give you (at least) 30 days to pay and then if you don't pay, they have the right to take you to collections ... However, THIS OFFICE DOESN'T SEND BILLS TO THEIR PATIENTS. The worst part of it is that I called CIGNA and requested the call records to make sure they did verify the insurance at the first appointment. THEY NEVER CALLED, EVEN WORST, CIGNA TERMINATED CONTRACT WITH THIS OFFICE BACK IN 2018! which means that they shouldn't have accepted my husband as patient in the first place!!! Cigna denied coverage 10 days after the first appointment, and this office TOOK MY HUSBAND FOR A SECOND AND THIRD APPOINTMENT!!! But wait, they will blame it all on you as a patient ... It's your fault for not verifying the insurance in the first place, it's your fault for not paying after the insurance claim was denied. It's all your fault!!! Don't they have personnel that takes care of this matters like any other office! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PRACTICE - A FULL COMPLAINT TO HEALTH SERVICES IS COMING! - THEY DON'T VERIFY INSURANCE -THEY DON'T SEND BILLS - THEY DON'T VERIFY DENIAL OF INSURANCE CLAIMS ON TIME AND KEEP ON GIVING YOU APPOINTMENTS THIS OFFICE IS A COMPLETE MESS!!"
"Dr. Sarat is very honest and professional. He was very clear about the treatment plan from the beginning. He gave me full time to explain and discuss my case. The processes has been so smooth and fast. I discovered how Human by all means and supportive he is. He's so respectful and cooperative. The office staff as well are so professional, accurate and helpful. They provided a close follow up, and didn't hesitate to call pharmacist and Insurance company for my convenience. The whole experience went beyond my expectation."
"I did not want to leave this review, but I feel I might be able to warn others. My 1st visit to this office was in April. I went in because 7 years before I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (IC) and thought I might be having a flair up. I wasn't sure since it had been so long since there had been any issues. After our discussion, a follow-up to test for IC was made. With Dr. Sabharwal and a fellow doctor from South America, they began injecting me with the fluids needed to determine if I had IC. The doctor from South America was so aggressive with the tube that I was sore and in pain for several days after. When I spoke to Dr. Sabharwal after the visit, I mentioned how rough the other doctor was and he discounted my opinion saying I was just sensitive there. They diagnosed me and proceeded with scheduling the procedure – Botox bladder injections. They surgery was scheduled a few weeks after the 2nd visit. So, 3 days before the surgery the office calls me & says I have a balance from my visit 2 weeks ago & that the doctor won’t perform the surgery until it is paid in full. I was stunned that they gave me NO notice and yet expected payment without an invoice or time to pay it. It wasn’t the $, it was the lack of professionalism. (There have been times in my life when the unexpected $335 would have had me completely broke or I just wouldn’t have been able to have the surgery.) When I went to make the payment over the phone, they tried to charge me an additional $15 to use a card. This is the ONLY doctor I’ve ever been to that charges you a percentage to use your debit/credit card. And it’s about 4.85% per dollar. I drew the line there, as there is no reason to charge me an additional $15 so you can provide your patients with a standard service. I was going to bring a check in the next day, but they called me AGAIN. I made the same argument and they discounted the bill by the $15, so the card company they use could still get their $15. Honestly, I wish I would have listened to my internal voice telling me NOT to have the surgery. But I didn’t. Dr. Sabharwal did a terrible job explaining the procedure. I had no idea until I got to the surgery center that I would be completely under. It took 3 days for the effects of the anesthesia to wear off, but my bladder pain continued. I called the office and was told just to wait until the 2-week follow-up. By the time my 2-week follow-up rolled around, I was so disheartened by the continued issues, I didn’t go because I didn’t want to give Dr. Sabharwal another penny of my money. I honestly thought I was going to have to live with the pains of IC forever. And it was bad – I contemplated how long I would be able to continue like that and have a semi-normal life. In August, I went in for an annual with my primary but wasn’t thinking in terms of them addressing my bladder issues. However, they were able to catch the fact that I had a Urinary Tract Infection. Which means, that I had a UTI since at least April. Which means, the surgery was COMPLETELY unnecessary. Which means, the $1,000+ out of pocket was a total loss for a pointless surgery. Dr. Sabharwal NEVER tested me for a UTI or any type of bladder infection. He went with what I thought it might be and completely took advantage of me. I had a medically unnecessary procedure for what ended up being a UTI. I called to request a statement 3 months after the surgery. Upon ME calling, they realized I owed a balance of $153. I told them when I received my statement, I would pay them. It took them almost 2 months to actually complete the request. They only reason it took '6 months' to pay my bill is because they didn't tell me for 3 & took 2 to send me a simple statement. The office staff is THE MOST unprofessional set of employees I've ever encountered. I don't have enough room to detail the horrendous experience they provided."
"Dr Sabharwal took over treatment for my prostate cancer 3 years ago. He has been caring and informative at all times. If you are looking for a Dr to partner with I highly recommend Dr Sabharwal. He does an excellent job of laying out options, expressing opinions and then letting the patient chose what is best for them. I’m very distrustful of doctors in general, but Dr Sabharwal has won me over. I’ve had 2 HiFU treatments in Cancun, Mex and 1 in the US. The last one in Mexico was with Dr Sabharwal and it was an excellent experience, much better than the previous ones. Dr Sabharwal has my contact information and I will gladly talk to, correspond with or even meet to answer any questions that I can for other patients."
"Dr. Sabharwal and staff were kind, pleasant, they explained things very well. They treated my husband illness with proper sense of urgency and compassion. Communication was GREAT!"
