Reviews of USF Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders
"Can we please figure out what is going on with Dr. Hauser receptionists? I hate to think that she is that miserable with her job or maybe life. She was very snarky with her replies and quick to cut me off when I had questions. Not helpful at all! Message to the receptionist- Kindness goes a long way. You have to remember that you are dealing with patients or family members living with Parkinson’s. Show some signs of compassion. Thank you!"
"Zero stars if possible. Horrible service from secretary to doctor to billing. They assign me to a doctor who is retiring in a week knowing that I am a new Parkinson’s patient. The secretary does not answer calls, I was not informed that my insurance is not accepted and later was informed the bill would be less than 200$ but it came to 400$ AFTER discount. I waited 2 hours for my appt and saw the doctor for 15min to tell me what I already know “I have Parkinson’s” on top of that, the medication made me feel worse and no support over the phone regarding the meds. What a disgrace and a scam, clinic misleads you. The retiring doctor name is Deborah Burke and the secretary name is Tara. Do not go there, such a shame."
"While attempting to schedule an appointment for my elderly father who has suffered with Parkinson's disease for 12 years, I have never eveexperienced such disrespect and attitude. Her name was Tara. If this treatment is indicative of this practice I would NOT RECOMMEND. I would give this a negative star if I was able."
"We have had excellent care and attention for my husband through his Parkinson’s journey with USF and TGH. After 10+years w/Houston DRs and only increases in meds or walking hallways and touching fingers together. He finally got the help needed. 6months in, he had the DBS, at TGH and feels so hopeful. Hopeful because he has to wait to heal before the unit can be turned on. We are very pleased with all the DRs he has seen for all his issues."
"Dr. Zesiewicz is hands down phenomenal. She thoroughly cares about her patients. I sought out treatment at USF based on another’s recommendation. And am so thankful that I found her. I have never had a Dr so attentive and genuinely caring. Her PA is amazing as well- one week I was having a flare up* and he spent nearly half an hour on the phone with me going over my medications...to see what they could change to help me. And another time I was at an Urgent Care and her office staff, and PA kept intermittently calling to help where they could(bc my condition is rare and many Drs unfortunately are not knowledgeable). For nearly 20+yrs I was symptomatic...and cycled through Drs and specialists, physical therapy, occupational therapy etc Even did years of counseling. I have(like so many others) had soooo many bad experiences with Drs, thoroughly traumatic. And this woman has been such a God send bc she finally diagnosed me where others could not. And even prior to diagnosing me- she and her staff at USF treated me and my family so admirably. There was so stigma(ex we can’t help you...you need to see someonelse...run around I had gotten for two decades.) There have been some good Drs along the way. But she has been excellent. And just wish I had seen her when I was a teenager-to start treatment earlier. She is a Movement Disorder Specialist Neuroligist Dr Yarema Bezchlibnyk is an excellent Dr as well(neurosurgeon) and very compassions and knowledgeable. And they worked together with my husband and I to tailor make a treatment plan. One day, our appointments had been scheduled wrong(three in one day, and the Psychologist wasn’t even there that day for Appt) So we ended up waiting around a few more hours. Well Dr Zesiewicz saw us in the lobby- asked my husband what we like to eat. And then brought sandwiches out to us from a local take out restaurant. I saw her time and again talk to other patients in the lobby. Hold their hand at times while talking to them. (In between her other appointments). She genuinely cares about her patients. God bless her and all she does"
