"Having been at two other IOP programs shortly (HCA Transitions & Rogers Behavioral in Tampa) I found the best care here at Windmoor Tampa. Four group sessions. First group started with a personal check in with everyone. The next two were topic driven based on counselor’s determination of group needs with our input. They were educational but also allowed for questions, discussion, and reflective work. The last group was a personal check out with everyone. What I liked most about Windmoor is that no one feels left out. Everyone is called upon to participate according to their comfort level and needs. Everyone is encouraged to provide support and helpful feedback of one another. Facilitators did a great job of moderating, to allow everyone the opportunity to speak, on topic, and for related issues. I’d like to thank Karen for quickly getting me in the program and showing genuine care and support. I also appreciate her checking in if we didn’t arrive to group on time or if we had transportation concerns. I’d like to thank Lauren for addressing my questions and concerns before starting at Windmoor. I also appreciate her kind and supportive words on my last day. I want to thank Beverly for leading groups with positive encouragement, guiding us to look within and find our paths. Her direct, upfront and honest approach is very helpful. Finally, I’d like to thank Mary for making me feel welcome and understood during the intake process. She reminded me of the value we all have to help one another which I appreciated. My only wish is that a weekly group be offered for members that completed the program, to continue progress through peer or counselor leadership. I will miss the staff and all the members I met here working to become their best selves."
