"The doctor and staff was great except for the woman who works the front desk. She was okay at first but when another patient came and had a guest with him when she told him his wife couldn't stay in the waiting room and got cussed out by her, she started offering accomodations for them (i.e. take a chair to the hallway). During their exchange, She made several mocking comments about me saying that if I wasn't there or if I didn't have my life partner waiting for me outside she would have let him have his guest in the waiting room - no problems. Yeah lady because I caused COVID and the restrictions!? It seemed like she was making a point to be a homophobic jerkass when she continued to do it 4-5 times."
"I went in 11/17/2020 My service was exceptional and it honestly brought me to tears. The staff at the front desk addressed me with care and concern , then when I got to the back into my room the nurse practitioner(SHE) listened to my every need and insured me that everything was going to be okay. It was really a breath of fresh air from the moment I walked in up until I left. I was so grateful it brought me to tears. I usually don't tend to have too bad of experiences when i go to the doctor but this clinic exceeded my expectations. I don't know if it was the time of day I went or the staff that was working that morning but i was very well taken care of and cared about. Thank you St. Joseph Community Care for all that you do !"
"Having been here several times, we've always been treated with respect and kindness. Dr Mallon is very knowledgeable, but moreover, very patient and understanding. She really takes the time to listen and understand patients, which is great. Of course, that sometimes leads to longer wait times, but it's a good tradeoff for quality care. The staff has been good, from check in to the MA to checkout, no issues there. They have even also been able to accommodate same day visits. The only inconvenience we had was with copays not matching up with our insurance, but we will get that resolved."
"At the first perfect visit I asked for one referral for my neurologist and another for the orthopedic doctor. I missed the orthopedic appointment because since August 14, when they visited, they had not worked on the referral, they never sent it to my health plan and so I see I will lose my neurologist who is so important because I am a relative who had an accident held vascular I do not recommend it. It is solid for a referral to take 14 days. No patient should go through this in order to get health care."
"This place is a joke. My first visit here seemed okay...until I left. I just moved here from Michigan. After 2 months of fighting I finally was approved for Medicaid. I am a dialysis patient with end stage renal failure, diabetes and high blood pressure. I came into Dr.Thomas’s office because I needed my medications as I was out. She did a normal exam. And stated certain medications she will fill for now until I can get the referrals I need for the specialist who will then prescribe them. That night my daughter goes to the pharmacy to pick them up and they have no prescriptions on file for me. Apparently Dr.Thomas never called them in. We called the after hours number and they said they don’t deal with prescription request after hours. After explaining to the lady that this is an emergency and can be detrimental to his health without the medications she agreed to have a doctor call me. An on call physician finally called but of course it was after the pharmacy at Publix had closed. He explained he’s not sure why she never called them in but that he would. We picked up my prescriptions the next day. Now here we are a month later and my daughter has been fighting with the office since Monday to get them refilled. Dr Thomas called and spoke to her 2 days ago and said they will call them in and of course just like last time they didn’t call in. Only this time the pharmacy is stating that the doctors office rejected them! How can you deny a dialysis patient his medication??? Especially after you refused to release his referrals to him until after 2/1/2018 when he switches to Amerigroup? And then say why havnt you seen the kidney doctor? Oh maybe it’s because you havnt given us the referrals? So now here we are I have already called the office twice today and each time I get voicemail. I call back and explain how important this is and I get shrugged off. Wouldn’t recommend ANYONE to come here. Unprofessional, doesn’t follow through, just don’t right horrible experience with this office. Calling Amerigroup and switching my PCP."
