"I went to this clinic just because I needed a referral from primary care provider to see a gynaecologist. On my visit, I clearly told the doctor that I don’t have any health issues, I’m here just to get the referral. Their doctor ordered bunch of tests for me, which we later found out from the gynaecologist that they were totally unnecessary. Their office was calling us one week later to discuss those unnecessary labs and wanted me to come back for another appointment so they can charge me more. I think if that’s not your intention then you can discuss those labs over the phone call too. You don’t need appointment for that. I have a very common insurance which covers almost everything. But they still ordered the tests which my insurance doesn’t even cover. I think as a clinic, they should know better what’s needed for a patient and what not. Now, I paid for those unnecessary tests out of my pocket. I went to their office and their manager said I will forward your concern to our management. I got the phone call from their management and they even admitted their mistake but told me they can’t do anything about it. All they said we can appeal to insurance, which obviously got denied by the insurance. Second time, I went to their office so that I can bring the insurance response to manager’s attention, but their manager totally ignored me. So, end of the story, now I’m paying for their mistakes, out of my pocket. I would never ever go to such a place which is all about money. Even after accepting their mistake, they chose to do nothing about it and went ahead and told me that I wouldn’t have got done those tests. Really, they should know better if those tests were needed or not. How as a patient, I would know that I need this test and not the other one. As a patient, I am going to trust my doctor. But unfortunately, this is not the case here."

Loved that he took me thru various options and outcomes and even looked up my scripts at the pharmacy to ensure they were covered and that I wouldn't have a surprise on payment or approval.
