Reviews of The Delray Center in Jacksonville
"This place is terribly run. My ADHD medication was put on a hold by the doctor because apparently they require a drug test every 6 months if you're on a controlled substance. This would be fine, but they NEVER mentioned this and the only way I found out was by calling and talking to 3 different people when I'm almost out of my medication and won't be able to get into the office to do the test before my prescription runs out. I also wonder why they need to test to see if I'm taking the ADHD meds when they know I take "breaks" from them to keep from building a tolerance, so sometimes if you test me, it won't be in my system. The people on the phones have no idea what they're talking about and constantly give conflicting info on what I need to do. My nurse practitioner is very helpful, but the only time I actually get to speak with her is when I pay $106 for a 5-10 minute telemedicine appointment. I use an FSA account to pay for these appointments and have to call to get receipts with the correct info to submit for verification, sometimes I have to call 2 or 3 times to get a statement with the right info on it, even when i specify exactly what is needed. Just very frustrating overall."
"This was the worst experience ever. I saw Dr Manoj today. When arriving to my appointment Dr. Manoj did not greet me. He barely spoke to me in the patient room and made no eye contact. He spent the majority of the on the computer in silence, basically ignoring me throughout the entire visit. I came for a form to filled out. And after paying $150 for the visit I was told I needed to pay another $198 for the form to be filled? Nearly $200 to sign a few sheets of paper? This office is greedy and poorly run. This is the worst quality of care I have ever received. For your own sake and sanity steer clear of this location. Patients should never be treated this way and this clinic neglects patient care ."
"My doctor is wonderful, as well as the in-office staff, but getting in touch with them is almost impossible. Whatever the main line is connects you with people who have no idea what they are talking about. I am out of a prescription, and she suggested I wait until my next appointment in 6 days to talk to my doctor. I cannot believe a medical professional suggested I wait almost a week without medication because she “couldn’t find it” on my chart. I have never had such a negative time interacting with scheduling staff as much as I have had with the DelRay center."
"It was a really odd and frustrating experience with them. The woman that I spoke to was lovely and on top of things, but I had an extremely unpleasant back and forth with their appointment coordinator. From the time I reached out I requested telehealth (as their website says they offer) and it was constant pushback. Coordinator kept asking why I needed to see a psychiatrist if I already had a doctor prescribe me medication for anxiety, in a really patronizing tone. Asked why I needed a psychiatrist like three times if I already had meds (for only anxiety, my general practitioner can’t prescribe for other things that I need, as I explained). Then kept insisting that their office wasn’t far and that the doctors would ask me to come in “on occasion”. I reaffirmed I just needed to talk to a psychiatrist about other issues and wanted a remote session. Then, I get called one day by this man at 7am!!!!! Saying he needs a call back like it’s an emergency or something. Your office wasn’t even open. The next day, I get called again to confirm appointment and he says “the doctor is requesting you come to the office, it’s only 15 minutes away from where you live after all. It’s only 15.7 miles (not accurate).” in the most patronizing tone. He kept repeating this supposed time and distance several times, unnecessarily arguing about why I wanted telehealth appointment. Kept going “if you can’t come in, you can’t come in, but it’s only 15.7 miles”. Extremely bizarre. First off, that’s not accurate. It’s 30-40 minutes each way. I don’t understand why they’d go as far as looking up where I live to challenge the fact that I requested a remote appointment. People have jobs, it’s a bit inconvenient to take two hours off of work to go do something that could be done in 30 minutes. Or for whatever reason - a patient requested a remote appointment. Don’t offer telehealth when that’s clearly not the service you are willing to provide. And put kind people on the phone, the tone of the coordinator was absolutely sarcastic and patronizing the entire time, and his behavior was extremely weird and unprofessional."
"The actual care I have received from the Delray Center is great but unfortunately their office is a mess and cannot do the most basic tasks. I have been trying to refill my medication’s for two weeks. For some reason the office keeps telling me they don’t know the number for my pharmacy even though I have been getting medication’s from this pharmacy since I started care with them seven months ago. I am placed on hold for 30 minutes at a time to receive no answers. The phone operators are rude and unhelpful. This is the second time I’ve had troubles getting refills on my prescriptions. Unfortunately, I will be switching to a different provider as this is unacceptable."
