"I have received excellent care for my sleep apnea and cpap needs. I cannot speak highly enough about the entire staff from the front desk to the office manager (who is my hero and literally fixed my cpap issue over a number of months by trial and error.)"
"Hands down the best!!!! Front desk efficient and courteous. Ms. Brooks, had a nice bed side manner and did well with vitals. Ben Shivar, PA, very informative and helpful.Took extra time to answer my questions to educate me on latest procedures and devices. Derrick was HANDS DOWN the best. I really appreciated Derricks extra effort and dedication to his work. He helped fix my tubing for my sleep apnea machine. I’ll sleep better tonight. Great attention and attitudes from the front and back of house. Thank you for a wonderful experience."
"I recently had an appointment with Dr. Huang and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, who promptly checked me in and verified my insurance information. Shortly after, the nurse called me in and took my vitals and medical history. The nurses are professional, friendly, and genuinely care about their patients. They make you feel at ease and provide excellent care. Dr. Huang came in shortly after, and we had a productive and informative discussion about my health concerns. He is knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns. He was able to provide me with a clear diagnosis and treatment plan that was tailored to my specific needs. Overall, I felt confident in the care I received and appreciated the high level of professionalism and expertise that Dr. Huang demonstrated. I would highly recommend this medical office to anyone seeking quality healthcare."
"I found this office to be quite speedy compared to the wait time of other offices. M. Bassett, ARNP is very caring and I never feel she's in a rush. I requested a list and the numbers for the medical equipment providers that took my insurance so I could find one who had the best time in getting a CPAP and the nurse brought me the information I needed. I was able to call them and let them know who I wanted my CPAP orders to go to. I also had an issue with the pressure on my CPAP and I was able to call the office speak with the nurse and get the issue resolved. I like this office and would recommend them to anyone."
"HIPPA violations galore—Don’t come here unless you’re okay with a room full of strangers learning the specifics of your medical history without your consent. The front desk staff are rude, dismissive, and generally unprofessional—this might be forgivable if they did their jobs properly, but they don’t. They loudly address specifics about your medical history in a large, echo-heavy lobby without making any attempt to keep that information private, as though they’ve never heard of a HIPAA violation in their lives. I heard the medical history of no fewer than four patients while we waited for my husband to be seen. Also, don’t ask them to make any specific notes about the reason for your visit when you’re making an appointment, because they won’t bother; we asked to make an appointment to discuss alternative treatment options given complications with the current treatment plan, and were repeatedly told that we had a check-in for the current treatment scheduled already—information I knew—leading me to clarify why we needed a separate appointment 4 times over the phone. The nurses and doctors are no better. When we finally got to the office for the alternative treatment appointment, a nurse literally strolled into the lobby, told us the doctor had nothing new to discuss with us, and began loudly talking about the specifics of my husband’s treatment plan. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LOBBY. IN FRONT OF OTHER PATIENTS. Aside from the fact that they clearly failed to note the reason for our appointment (for the 5th time), this was a MASSIVE HIPPA violation. When we finally got to see the doctor and requested alternative treatment options, we were told that we had one effective treatment option, and it was the one we had reasonable concerns about. When I mentioned that they had medical records on file demonstrating why the recommended treatment was a bad option for us, her response was, “That’s a good point,” followed by a half-hearted recommendation for a treatment that works in fewer than half of patients. Based on meta-analyses published in the last 2 years, there are several available treatment alternatives with high effectiveness rates for patients with the same diagnosis, condition severity, and similar demographics to my husband. She discussed none of these options with us, not even to tell us which options would or wouldn’t be viable. Luckily, I conduct quantitative research and literature reviews for a living, so I can muddle my way through the medical literature...but I shouldn’t need to go through all of that just to effectively advocate for my family and receive decent medical care. Lastly, they told us they’d communicate with a local medical supply store to order a medical device for my husband through our insurance....they did not. We were told to keep an eye out for a phone call about the device. After a month and a half without hearing anything, I called the clinic to follow up, and their response was, “You don’t have your [medical device] yet? You’re due for an appointment in a couple of weeks to talk about how it’s been working for you. You should call the company.” I called the company—turns out, the pulmonary clinic never contacted them. That explains a lot. It also sums up our experience with this place. They do not respect your federally-protected private medical information. They do not value your time. They clearly are not looking out for their patients’ best interests. We are going to a different specialist center in town to address this medical issue from here on out, and I would strongly advise anyone else to do the same. In the meantime, I’m reporting the numerous HIPPA violations. Their patients deserve better."
