"I have a follow-up visit, but I think I might ask my primary to refer me to a different office. Still debating. Before the visit, I looked up Dr. Taba online and thought she would be amazing because she resembles my psychiatrist a bit. But, I found Dr. Taba to be a bit condescending. I've dealt with doctors not listening to me for a year while I suffered, only to figure out that all of my symptoms were due to Long Covid. I ended up needing to use a wheelchair and in horrible pain until FINALLY a wonderful doctor listened and set me on the right path to healing. I finally felt like I was starting to get somewhere and see doctors that listened and cared. Then I met Dr. Taba and she reminded me of all of the doctors last year that didn't listen. Maybe she's great with other patients, but so far, I can't say that has been my experience. When she was about to examine my legs, I said "please be careful with my legs" she responded "well, I have to examine them." I didn't say DON'T touch my legs, I was just giving her a heads up since I had just spent 15 minutes telling her about my pain. Then she exams my legs, I jump from the pain and she says "you're really tender." Um, yeah! I just said I am hypersensitive and have leg pain! Did she think I was lying the whole time? I also mentioned my lower back pain, she examines my lower back, I jump from the pain. She says "you're really tender." Really?! Ya think?! Maybe we just need more time to get to know one another. But at the same time, I've wasted enough time with doctors with her vibe. And I can't say she gave the best first impression."
"TL:DR: Avoid if you are Trans patient, particularly non-binary! I saw Dr. Indhira twice in pursuit of finding or eliminating a diagnosis. We ultimately determined that rheumatology was not the cause. However, despite having a pleasant time in the 2 appointments we had, when my charts arrived in the follow my health app. I noticed that my gender and pronouns were charted incorrectly despite an extensive conversion in my first appointment about my transition. I had stopped HRT between our two appointments and the way it was documented didn't feel appropriate. When I checked with friends of mine who range from MDs to PAs to ARNPs about if I was overreacting about the phrasing. They said it was not how they would have done it they helped me craft a non-aggressive correction letter and corrections that provided the same if not more clear information. I opened the letter with compliments to my great experience, an acknowledgement that my assigned gender needed to be on file for care recommendations, and then provided corrected details for my chart. I further explained why I was concerned with the language used on me ceasing HRT. I provided concise recommendations on why creating a welcoming environment for transgender patients was important and some ways to do it. I also mentioned the next specialist I had been referred to was not accepting new patients. The reply I received was flippant and gas-lightning, making it clear she did not read my letter in full. It did not acknowledge that the referral was not functional. Further explicit requests to update my file were denied. If the final email, I was told that she and her manager had decided that they did not have to make corrections. If you are trans, this is not a safe provider, and if you attempt to advocate for yourself, you will be not be respected."
"The doctor i went to was Dr.Taba, i had a bad experience with her. I went to her because I have bad pain in my joints and muscles her theory was that people that hurt all over like that had did drugs at one time or another. I couldn't believe she actually said that to me ! An she put me on generic meds for symbalta And when I needed to get my meds refilled I played hell getting them filled,I had to go through my primary doctor to get my meds until I seen Dr. Taba again. Then I went to my appointment with Dr. Taba and I told her a bout my meds she said she didn't know anything about it strange thing she issued out meloxicam and didn't discuss it with me.so the pharmacy called and said my meds was ready for pick up and it was the meloxicam not the symbalta and when I told her her about my back hurting she did nothing only thing she did was send me for ex-rays of my hips and hands, I not long got ex-rays of hips and hands I've been getting shots for that. that lady did nothing to help."
"This office was considerate, caring and kind. Dr. Taba, Nurse Kathryn, front end check-in and check-out personnel were all very friendly and welcoming and as a new patient, I really appreciated that. Dr. Taba and Nurse Kathryn were very thorough with my medical records and I appreciated the time Dr. Taba spent going over my history and lab reports. I would highly recommend. The facility is also very nice, updated and very inviting. 5 Stars for my visit :)"
"To begin, I am extremely overwhelmed with my health issues. I was referred to Dr. Taba due to an immense symptoms list that is consistent to an autoimmune disorder and a positive ANA blood test. I was told I have an autoimmune disease, sent to rheumatology here to confirm which one. I was immediately demeaned by Dr. Taba, I felt uncomfortable discussing my symptoms. Then I was questioned about meds that my primary physician prescribed me for pain, as if I was a pill junkie. I was ignored when I mentioned several symptoms that are important when determining what is going on (such as specific locations of muscle tenderness, specific mouth sores, and specific joint pain) I found the doctor very condescending and left the office abruptly in tears out of embarrassment due to my condition seeming “brushed under the rug” or as if I was exaggerating. I feel I was immediately dismissed in the eyes of Dr. Taba and there’s was an extreme lack of concern or empathy when I spoke to her about my symptoms. I would not recommend her to anyone that is still trying to figure out what is going on with their body or illness."
