"I had a breast surgery with Dr. Gladys Giron, she is a nice person and a good professional as a physician. However, her support team at Baptist hospital is awful. I have my insurance, it covers 85 % of expenses. These bad professionals sent my biopsia to the only one pathology laboratory which is not in my insurance network, so I have to pay $491 instead of maybe $70. They have a favorite laboratory behaving as the MAFIA does. They took advantage of me, I was so deppressed because it was a chance to have breast cancer, thanks god I do not. I told them before the surgery to send all biopsias and tests to my insurance's network...they did not do it. They sent me the bill...I called them several times...I spoke by phone with Miss Vanessa (nurse), this lady sent me to another person, Elizabeth (Supervisor) she sent me to Billing Department, this last Department sent me back to Gladys Giron office (these people were playing games with me). I spoke also with Collection Department, they said they have nothing to do and sent me back to Baptist Hospital (by phone). Today I spoke with Mr. Mariano, I requested to him to speak with the Manager..he said there is no need because "the Hospital has its own procedures to send the biopsias to whatever laboratory"...I said to this person I have my own insurance...he said the Hospital can send the tests, biopsias to whatever laboratory they wish despite there are a lot of laboratories under my insurance's network. He said I have to call to my insurance to make a complaint. Please be careful with this Hospital, they like to take advantage of patients. I am having a crisis because of this situation."
