HEART Village

HEART Village is a unique institution located in Lake Wales, Florida, United States. Our mission is to educate, equip, and empower individuals with practical skills in cultural adaptation, problem solving, and community development through experiential training. Our campus is designed as a functioning simulation of a developing world village and demonstration farm, where students, visitors, and volunteers from around the world come to gain valuable knowledge and experience.

As a school for cross-cultural workers and missionaries, HEART stands for Hunger Education And Resource Training. We strive to teach a holistic perspective on ministry, focusing on cultivating genuine relationships, improving the quality of life, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ's unique worldview. Our curriculum components are designed to address the most basic needs for self-reliant living, geared towards students with a heart for missions in developing countries.

HEART Village is a registered not-for-profit, faith-based organization that relies on student fees and generous donations to support our programs, scholarships, and campus improvements. We welcome skilled and unskilled workers year-round, offering opportunities for day visits, extended volunteer trips, and weekly volunteering. If you have specific skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrician, or auto mechanics, we would love to put you to work!
