"AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!! We are currently pursuing possible legal action My husband had cataract surgery done here about 2.5 years ago. When he was at my last appointment and told them he was not happy they showed him the door and wanted nothing to do with his complaints. Then after a few attempts to call, he was never able to talk to anyone and never got a call back. He now has to use eye drops a few times per day to combat 'Dry Eye'. And has to deal with on/off blurry vision. Having been an over the road truck driver and not being able focus on the road forced him into taking an early retirement when he could not pass the eye chart at his required D.O.T. physical."

"Staff was great! Office is nicely kept and clean. Techs and Dr's were very thorough and efficient. Dr. Shane was awesome, explained everything and was very detailed about my options and what would work best for me and what we could or shouldn't do. And he isn't in a rush just to throw you right into surgery! Fantastic facility!"

"This was my second visit to the Filutowski Eye Institute! Needless to say, I am very satisfied with their services. The Doctors there are very competent and possess great bedside manners if you will. The office is very clean and welcoming. All the staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly. "Now that it’s after two months since my initial appointment, I can give an Honest review of my procedure and experience with this office. My first appointment was a consultation. The consultation was not free like in other places. I thought “you get what you pay for” so I thought it would be fine. The money spent goes toward the procedure if you decide to move forward. I waited just about an hour after my appointment time to be seen. That was pretty annoying but I ignored it since I was so excited that I was doing something to correct my vision. After a couple of appointments they were finally able to get my prescription dialed in. Took waaaay longer than expected. I did the procedure at the Lake Mary location and I just felt like a number there. They didn’t seem to care if I was there or not. Almost like I was in a factory and the patients were on the assembly line. At the follow up appointment same waiting game. I was seen about 45 minutes after my appointment time. The doctor recommended drops but didn’t have them there. Why? Shouldn’t everything they recommend be available there? Mind you this place is more expensive than its local competitors. They had me come in for my one month post op appointment. They scheduled it and gave me a card with the appointment time. When I showed up, they tell me that there was a mistake and no appointment was made. I asked if they could still see me today since that what was scheduled and I live an hour away. They said no and that they are fully booked. They said the other receptionist must have made a mistake and not put me in the schedule. Hey, I understand if I was a walk-in, but this was THEIR mistake. At about a month after surgery my eyes feel marginally better. I can see but not how I thought it would be. Vision is still somewhat blurry. I’m told it could take up to six months to heal but my vision should be at its final outcome about now. This place is ridiculous. If I were you I would try elsewhere. They are not the only laser eye surgery center and probably not the best. They are also not the cheapest. Others may have had a decent experience. This is mine. Would not recommend."
