"I thought a lot about this review, about whether I should post it or not, because human medicine in and of itself in this country is completely bogus, and this office is likely a symptom of a much larger problem, but there are changes in this office that could happen to improve their quality of patient care. It is clear that everyone here is overworked, overwhelmed, and likely underpaid. Dr Duan seems like an intelligent, caring doctor, but I think she is so overwhelmed by her case load she isn’t able to actually spend time listening to her patients. She was consistently 30 or more minutes late for my appointments, I have a very complex neurologic history, and had she just slowed down and taken 20 minutes to actually listen to my history, it would have saved us both time, and me a fair amount of money. Messages are only checked by one person, so if you have something urgent like a follow up from the ER that you need to schedule, it is nearly impossible to get scheduled. It took weeks of phone tag to get my initial appointment scheduled. If you have a simple neurologic condition then this office will probably be fine for you. If it is more complex, they simply don’t have time for you. Make sure to schedule your appointments when you have plenty of time to wait - even after trying to change an appointment twice to a day I had time to wait and making a point that if I kept that particular appointment it needed to be on time or I needed to reschedule to a day when I had the time to wait, they insisted that I would be seen on time and I didn’t need to change the appointment, my appointment started nearly 30 minutes late. I understand doctors frequently run behind, and that is totally fine, which is why I was trying to reschedule to a day that I had the time to wait. The front desk seemed annoyed that I was attempting to rearrange my appointment to a day when being seen 30-45 min past my appointment time wouldn’t be a big deal. I’m sure they get a lot of complaints about the doctors running behind, so I don’t really fault them for being a bit defensive about it. This office should probably not accept new patients, as it seems that their current caseload is already too high. I feel for the employees and doctors of this office, I’m sure they deal with a lot of angry patients."

"Terrible experience with this office! I needed my records faxed to my main doctor in order to be seen by a surgeon and it took repeated requests by my doctor and two visits by myself in person to accomplish that! It took four months! Phone messages are not usually returned and you can never talk to a real person when you first call unless you are making an appointment. I asked for my records to be handed to me personally and they told me hipa laws prevent that which is NOT true. I will never go back there."

"My doctor ordered lab work for me and my insurance didn’t cover it, but my doctor said it is covered. I will suggest you to contact your insurance before you do lab work. The medical assistant in this office never answered my phone. It is a real pain to deal with this office. Counting from the checkin, the third one, a rude lady, who has a black shirt today, is very unhelpful and unfriendly to me. I had a billing question and she didn’t help me at all and tried to get rid of me by writing me a code randomly, which was totally not what I asked for. I hope the manger can train her better to provide a decent service. Dr.Duan is good."
