"Had my surgery two years ago ! I wake up every single day amazed at how well I see now! Dr Kaufman and staff are so professional, efficient. My experience was so positive! Sorry it took me so long to write this review. See you soon dr Kaufman !"
"My appointment was on November 4, 2023. I saw Dr. Carol Marquis. The reason for the poor rating is that she gave me a bad prescription. I have been getting eye glasses for 30 years and have never had this happen before. In addition, the same thing happened to my father. He was given a bad prescription from her. We both had to go back to different eye glasses shops to have our prescriptions fixed. I then had to pay out of pocket to go to a different O.D. (at another practice) to get a corrected prescription. That O.D. told me that the prescription Dr. Marquis had given me was vastly different than my previous one (and I get annual eye exams). So the more concerning part is why she didn't look into the health of my eyes further if my vision had supposedly changed that drastically. When I did get my glasses back, I couldn't see out of them at all. It hurt to wear them. I even tried to wear them the next morning right when I got up. But they weren't right. This had never happened to me in 30 years. When I got my corrected prescription back this week from the new O.D. I could see great. As previously mentioned. The same thing happened to my dad too. He was given an incorrect prescription. All of this resulted in wasted time and money due to her poor performance. Just thought you would want to know that you have a liability on your hands with this lady doing such sloppy work. **UPDATE** I didn't have broken glasses. So you must be referring to the wrong patient (no surprise -- sloppy is clearly on brand). Correct, I didn't get lenses from you. You don't service the kind I wear. But when I got them using the prescription from YOUR doctor, I couldn't see out of them. When I got them using the updated prescription from another doctor, I could see perfectly. The other O.D. I saw was shocked as to how badly your doctor missed the mark btw, and they said the prescription was actually quite different from my old one. So please stop making things up. I already knew that you offered a free recheck, but I opted not to return to a place that cannot get it right the first time (remember, this also happened to my dad). I prefer competence when it comes to my medical care. Have a nice day."
"I arrived early for my 10am appt and filled out all the pages of information for the Doctor. The front desk staff insisted that I provide my social security number. My eye problem is medical and will be billed through my medical insurance, which I have through my spouse's employment. My social is not needed for this transaction. I was willing to pay my copay up front and pay anything not covered by insurance. They said I could not be a patient there unless I provided my social or did self-pay. We have been victims of identity theft from someone in a position that we should've been able to trust with personal information (just like the front desk staff). I left disappointed but luckily this isn't the only eye doctor in the area."
"The doctor was on time and very thorough with my examination. The front desk staff were efficient and professional. I am able to schedule my yearly appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I personally don't order my glasses through them though as I can get better prices elsewhere. But the actual doctors are great"
"Wow Jonathan Kaufman, what a fantastic job - I took off the patch and I heard church bells. Thank you! Your team was just as excellent! The girl that signed me in was cheerful and smiling. The woman who came out to speak with us and inform us of the situations that would be going on was really on top of it. She mentioned every doctor's name so everyone knew who was involved. She confirmed that everything would work out and said she would be back with updates, and she did! Your team inside was apologetic for the delay. They also continued to engage in conversation as they prepared me for surgery. They were very calm, happy and confident. That’s a first for me - perfect! I only keep her for last because it’s usually the last person you see. The anesthesiologist. What can I say, the best. We even talked about aromatherapy and I got a plug in for Aveda! If I could, I would bring my staff in to witness true harmony. At my year end meeting, I will be talking about this experience. Excellence in service!"
