Sarasota Memorial North Port ER & Care Center 2345 Bobcat Village Center Road, North Port, FL 34288

"My second appointment in 2 weeks to radiology. SMH has decided to run a radiology business out of their ER. At both visits I was bumped by ER patients. Why schedule an appointment for someone and not have the staffing? On this second visit, I was asked upon arrival if I was an add on. I said that I didn't know. At approx. 0830am this morning, my Doctor's office called and stated they'd found an MRI appointment for me at 545pm today. I assumed they'd had a cancelation. I have cancer and appointments have been difficult to get and a slow process. I have two types of cancer and they fear it's in my shoulder. I'm soon to begin treatment and we need to know all its lications and types. I'm not here for a sprained ankle. I arrived at my arrival time of 545pm. I paid the $1453 fee and waited. At 640pm I was advised it would be another 30-45 minutes because of ER patients bumping me. It is 715pm and I'm still waiting. I was taken back at approximately 740pm. That is approximately 2 hrs after my report time. I do not recommend Sarasota Memorial Hospital/ Radiology. I will update this post when able."

"Was seen at North Port ER on 1/8/23. The entire experience was great from check in until discharge. Gena in Registration was very professional and kind. Yanesa, the nurse that drew my labs was fabulous. Too many others encountered not mentioned here all amazing too. 10/10 recommend despite other opinions you may see written here. I personally would not go anywhere else. Great job Team SMH."

"I have to say I had great care at the ER the only thing that was bad was the lady at check in she asked over and over my name and ask me to put palm of hand on a machine at least 5 times. Finally I said I'm done with that then I had to spell my name. They quickly got me back to room. I was having pain all around upper stomach and back for 5 days. I only wanted blood test but Dr. Said I need EKG and Cat scan so I agreed. Blood work was good Dr did find something on cat scan. Staff and Dr did a great job."

"I am only in town visiting for 2 weeks, and yesterday I put my back out with a severe muscle strain. I was referred to this ER by my insurance carrier. Thank God! I was only in the waiting room for about ten minutes & they got me right into a room. They had me down for a CT scan, The doctor came in with the results and I was out the door all within two hours. With two scripts called into Walmart Pharmacy. It was very convenient for an out of town person. And if it helps anyone to know it, My insurance is Medicare. Anytime i'm anywhere in the area going forward, I will always come to this ER. They are fast, efficient, and the people were all really great too!"
