"I want to first start by saying I received great care from Juan Dias PAC. I was looking for a clinic or primary physician who could help me with sciatica. My first visit, I got a call 2 hours before my appointment (while I was at work. I had 15 minutes travel time from work to the office) that their computer was down and could only accept cash. Fine, I asked if I could be 5 minutes later than my appointment time to get the cash. I was told they could reschedule for the next day. I told them forget it, I'll go somewhere else. I called the sales guy and then the office called back and said I could come later. I go in for my follow up, and I was told I am a self pay because I have a high deductible, then I was asked if I wanted to pay $120, $100, or $70? I wasn't aware I was negotiating my fee. When I returned home and check my insurance, I am finding they are not submitting the billing to the insurance, so these self pay payments are not going towards my deductible. Self pay and high deductible are 2 different things in medical billing. I am having to mail my receipts to my insurance. Hopefully, I will get reimbursed for the difference between what I paid and what my negotiated rate was supposed to be. The office has no idea how to handle medical billing and insurance. Never, have I ever had a medical office tell me I am self pay withy current plan. Not even hospitals, long term care, and home health services. I am guessing the office lady is assuming I do not understand medical billing and claims or understand my insurance plan. Not professional at all. If it wasn't for Juan Dias PAC helping me through excruciating pain, this would be a 1 star."
"This office started off great, but now I would never go back. I had two telehealth calls prior and the medications they prescribed for me did not work so I had to call my PCP at Allied Family Health. My physician was not in, but the office manager, Anna, said she would try to get another provider in Cape Coral to help me. She promised me before the end of the day, the provider would call me and she would switch my medication. Verbatim, she said, "she will help you." At 2:30 pm, I called again to ensure I was still getting a call and Anna said, "the provider has back-to-back appointments, but you will get a call before 5:00, I promise you." I never got a call. After that, I had to rush to urgent care as I was already waiting ALL DAY for medication I needed. My copay at urgent care is much higher than for my primary care physician, so I was very unhappy about this; especially since the medication switch was going to cost me nothing. Thankfully the urgent care helped me or I would have been stuck all holiday long weekend. Now I called the office today to discuss this with Anna. I was told she would call me back today and, of course, she did not. I do not recommend this doctor's office at all. They will offer to help you, have zero follow through, and then not call you back. This is not a way to run a business at all and certainly not a medical one meant to help people. I have also been with this clinic for less than a year and have had THREE providers as they keep leaving. The office staff is also constantly changing."
