"Scheduled an appointment that was through my insurance. I get a call to confirm appointment. I confirm. I showed up to the office and filled out paperwork then the receptionist tells me I have to pay $29 for a mandatory exam. I explained that I would have not scheduled an appointment that my insurance couldn't cover completely. I was not told about the $29 cost. Receptionist then argues that they called to let me know of the charge but I did not answer. When I did in fact answer and confirmed my appointment. But was not made aware of the charge. I wouldn't drive all the way from Sebring to Avon Park just to be told to pay a fee I couldn't afford. I told the receptionist these charges need to be told upfront on the day anyone schedules an appointment in order to avoid getting a surprise fee and they can determine whether to keep the appointment or cancel it. All she did was argue with me. Can't expect people to go to covered insurance visit with a surprise charge."

"It was my first time at Sevigny Associates Eye Care, and I had a wonderful experience. Lauren and Dr. Anderson took their time to listen to my concerns and did a thorough examination. Dr. Anderson was attentive and also explained all of my treatment options. I'm very pleased and happy with them and also the staff, Alyssa, Zanaida,& Wayne . "Had a foreign object stuck in my eye and called the after hours emergency line. Dr. Sevigny met me at the office an hour later on a Saturday when he had plans with his family. He removed the foreign object and took care of my eye. However when I went back they put a new contact bandage over my eye and said I would have to come back to get it removed. At this point I had paid in full for all services rendered. Then I get a bill in the mail saying I owe more money. The doctor told me herself that I would have to pay if I came back. I never went back and removed the bandage myself. No further payment necessary. Be weary of this place as they will try to squeeze as much money out of you as they can."

"What I thought was a bad experience, actually wasn’t. Just a misunderstanding. They reached out to me and explained everything. So, please accept my apology and I definitely retract my previous opinion. I appreciate you guys and thanks for reaching out and explaining. Thank you for actually caring about my well being. You guys are really awesome and appreciated. Thanks again."

"***Edit*** Minutes after writing this review, called to see when my glasses will be in. Looks like they were put on a hold for $13 that my insurance would not cover, and after 2 weeks, not must wait another 2 weeks. Very unhappy and leaves a very sour feeling after all the good that happened. Wish I could have had this resolved as soon as they knew it was an issue. No missed call and no message. Now I will not have my glasses for an event I was planning for. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The best eye care Dr I have ever been to. The staff are very friendly, doctor is very knowledgeable and takes her time with you. Gentleman who helped me pick out my frames went above and beyond, seems to truly care about matching you with lenses that fit. Will be going here from now on for my family and myself eye care needs!"
