"I've been a patient here getting infusions for several months now,. Kiley, Patricia and Taylor are wonderful and a great team. They take care of every aspect of the process with care and efficiency. The center is large and comfortable and there are private rooms available."
"Paragon Sarasota Infusion Center delayed my critically important healthcare by several weeks while attempting to sort out "an insurance issue". Their negligence, inattention to detail, and inability to communicate are the main reasons that I would never recommend you or a loved one utilize this center. I am a disabled vet that has Tricare Prime and VA Optum insurance. I was initially very excited to begin my infusions at a brand new center, but realized quickly the importance of an established and trained staff. When I spoke with the staff at Paragon, I informed them of both of my insurances and they told me to expect a 2-3 day wait while they get the appropriate authorizations and that they would contact me if any issues arose. I told them I was mid-flare and it was important I was scheduled soon, and to let me know of any specific issues regarding my insurance (as the VA can sometimes be finicky). 4 business days later, I had not yet heard back from them - they only do infusions on Thursday and Friday, and it was now a Wednesday. I called them and was informed of an "insurance issue", and that it would be resolved within the next day or so and I would hear back. That Friday I called again, and was told the same thing - the issue would likely be worked out by next week, and I could schedule an infusion then. This continued for two more weeks - I was reaching out to them every 2-3 days and being continuously strung along and assured that the issue would soon be fixed and I could get an infusion scheduled. After 3 weeks of back and forth (and of Paragon not informing me what the actual issue is), I was finally able to speak to their insurance person directly about the "issue". Paragon was not in-network and therefore could not accept Tricare or VA Optum - the insurance person told me that they were actively working on getting their approvals to accept these insurances, and that they were waiting for that prior to scheduling me. I was led on for 3 weeks waiting for authorization that would never come. Paragon should have immediately told me that they cannot accept Tricare or VA Optum. I was recommended to Florida Cancer Specialists by my doctor - Florida Cancer Specialists received authorization and I had an appointment on the books for my infusion the same day."
