MD Now Urgent Care - North Port

"Had to be seen here because of a work place injury and while my care here by the NP was good, the place itself was not very clean. The floors were filthy, the exam room was nasty, the triage room had ants crawling up the walls, and the exam room had ants crawling on the floor and the exam table. I would not choose this place on my own to be seen for care."

"The bad: Took me 3 tries (over 4 days) to be seen due to maxed out bookings. The day I was seen, I registered online around 930 am, came by 2x, and wasn't seen until 130pm. The good: EVERYONE was very nice. Kind, efficient, etc. Arrived at 1230pm, waited one hour in the waiting room, left around 230pm."

"I registered online; checked in too. Waited until I was contacted via text message at 10:30. I was 5 minutes away. I got there and wasn't seen until almost 1:00. I spent a total of 4 hours there. This place has a new owner. I had no problem with the previous owner; Med Express. Never spent more than 1/2 hour in the waiting room. All I heard were excuses. There were no emergencies in front of me; yet two people came in well after me and called in before me. There was nothing obvious wrong with them. I was told one had checked in before me; yet he gets there all of 45 minutes after me and gets in before me? Stinks. Won't return there. Their system stinks."

"By far the worst experience I’ve ever had For an urgent care. Rude staff, the wait time was prolonged and I could not get an estimate as to when i would be cared for. They make you pre pay, so all is cared about is your money upfront, not your health and then they will try to tack on extra “care” at the end of your visit. Typical sales tactics. PLEASE BE WARE you’re better off going to a family practice."

"I just had one of the worst experiences in health care here yesterday. I got to their office at 10am where the first receptionist I spoke with had a chip on her shoulder already that morning. Could hardly hear her speak and when I asked her to say again she picked up an attitude. Fast forward 3 hours I am still being patient waiting my turn, pacing because my back was hurting from sitting in that position (the body ached added to it too) and I finally get the courage to ask where I’m at in line. She tells me I’m next, cool! The next patient that was sent back was due to a emergency (can totally understand that) but the 3 patients that were send in before me after were not emergency’s and since I had been there for 3 1/2 hours at this point I notice I came in before those 3 other people. The receptionist kept saying it was the system but SHE PERSONALLY knew I was next?? Are we really at a point in society we can’t tell “the system” no or fix this system? Do you have absolutely no control over this system? There was even a manager or something that came over and she didn’t even have a better excuse !!!! I literally told both of them that they should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to me and walked out because I just needed to get out of there I had rightfully embarrassed myself but at the end of the day all I wanted was help and they literally didn’t even care when those other patients were deliberately put in front of me. I walked outside to the car where my husband had been waiting for me and told him what happened and he marched back in there and advocated for me because I he knew I needed to be seen by a doctor. They let me walk out the door with no problem after sitting there (actually I’m sure they were relieved) and the minute he went in there to ask what was going on they got me right in. Funny how that worked out ladies but I’m not overthinking it because this is finally where I was able to be treated. I have influenza B (which I knew I had a type of flu) and the doc who took a whole 3 minutes to talk to me send me home with 5 prescriptions. To the staff of this establishment, do better, be better. People like me come to you when we need help and even a compassionate voice would be helpful. Yesterday for me was one of the worst healthcare experience I’ve ever had. It makes me look down upon establishments like this as in they’re 2nd rate to a hospital/ doc because that’s how they operate and treat other humans."
