The reason that ITEC is at the top of my respected mission organizations list is its focus-- rather than performing "do-good" projects, ITEC's focus is to equip indigenous Christ followers with practical skills to open doors to the Gospel within their communities. This strategy is more closely aligned to the Biblical mandate of making disciples. It prevents a dependency on foreign money and expertise, which stunts spiritual growth.
