"Giving them 1 star is being generous. They do not care about their patients or attempt to help. I waited 2 months for the appointment. They refused to see me because I was late. Let me ask you....have you ever been seen at the exact time of your appointment? I bet not...I bet you sat waiting for at least 10 to 15 minutes and then extra time in the exam room. But they expect perfection, I had an emergency that caused me to be late but they didn't care. Moving on to someone else who cares."
"Love Dr Acevedo! Finally a Dr I can trust. This is my second visit both of which have been top notch. I will continue to come to this doctor I noticed some with bad reviews. Note, the dr’s do not own Baycare. Also, If they are sending you for a test, you need it. They do not make an extra penny by sending you for Tests they are on salary."
"Dr. Jean-Claude is excellent and deserves 10 stars. The only issue I have is with the way referrals and authorizations are handled. It's been a constant struggle and needs to be addressed. There is no transparency to the patient so when a referral/authorization has been sent/requested there is no way for me to see where it is or who is holding it up. This creates anxiety and generates phone calls to the staff who, I'm guessing, are equally frustrated by this horrible system. I realize that some of this may be the result of insurance companies or other physicians who delay responses but since this had happened with 90% of our referrals, I think the issue is at BayCare. The Hippocratic Oath says do no harm and Baycare's system and policy are doing the opposite by creating anxiety in patients who submit requests 7-10 days in advance, are told nothing and then they lose appointments and are forced to reschedule which creates additional stress or worse by denying care when it is needed."
"I’ve been bringing my daughter to Dr. Gilling for years and she is an amazing doctor. As far as Front Desk is concerned the office manager is absolutely horrid to deal with. She is so quick to say policies and procedures down one’s throat before even knowing what one has to say or ask. Today I simply asked another front desk person for my child’s health insurance number. Before I could even finish my sentence; here comes Karen junior to tell me that the front desk does not have my daughter insurance number. So quick to shut me down before even letting me finish my question. I calmly proceeded to tell the other front desk girl what I needed and sure enough I got what I needed from that sweet girl. The manager Proceeded to get very confrontational with me stating she did not like my tone for asking for my daughters insurance. I thought front desk managers were suppose to help and assist patients; not rudely turn them down for any and everything. This women is surely on a very horrid power trip (front desk manager). I am not surprised that I am not the only review like this. Rude front desk manager. Makes sense why people have similar reviews if this is the “manager” other employees are looking up to. The stories associated with this front desk manager goes on. I truly wish Dr. Gilling What is accessible through a different Bay care medical group because she is amazing. Front desk manager not at all amazing just plain RUDE!"
"I should have know scheduling an appt here was a mistake from the moment I got on the phone! The lady scheduling my apt and taking my information was unbelievably rude! As I was giving her information she would say "uh uh uh you're going too fast you NEED to slow down" in the most unprofessional way ever! The day I went for my apt I arrived early and was greeting by the front desk worker with a look of confusion. She said "oh we don't have any appts now, what can I help you with" . I informed her that I did in fact have an apt. She went to speak with Dr. Rachel Jean-Claude's "MA" who said she called me and informed me my apt was cancelled. Not once did I ever get a phone call and if I ever even did, a voicemail should had been left as a courtesy. A complete waste of an ENTIRE DAY. I was told my apt was cancelled bc the DR was new and "bumped her template which accidentally cancelled the apt" whatever that means. This place is run by idiots. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS."
