"AWFUL experience! DR. John Hill & staff are terrible! I went because the pain for various diagnosis isn't letting me function normally. I'm having a hard time talking care of myself & don't want to lose my independence. First, they never returned my phone calls about whether or not they received my doctor's referral (this is needed for insurance to pay). I only found out the day before & asked my doctor's assistant to send it ASAP. When I got there, they said they still didn't receive it. I made more calls to get it sent & was rescheduled 2 hours later. Dr. John Hill saw me under 5 minutes. He wouldn't listen to anything important I had to say. He read only 1 sentence from my last pain management records of my X-ray & MRI of moderate -severe Osteoarthritis in both knees. He offered prescriptions I've already tried & other treatments for over 20 years that never worked. I tried explaining I had had multiple health problems causing pain, like Lupus & he didn't seem to know what that is. Simply based on one prescription I was given when I decided to discontinue treatment with my last pain management doctor, Dr. Hill assumed I abused narcotics & was oblivious to the fact that medication has multiple uses. His "examination" consisted of simply telling me to stick my leg out & bend my knees. Then he said I could walk fine. I didn't waste the little energy I had to argue with him. He should have checked my prescription history BEFORE my appointment if he was going to treat me this badly! I had to spend a total of $60 on a round trip from Sarasota to Bradenton to waste my time. Insurance transportation has proven completely unreliable. Now I'm left to looking into paying out of pocket to return to my last pain specialist, something I can barely afford."
"In this place, they do not respect the order of arrival of people when they are called for the consultation. On repeated occasions, I have arrived first in the morning and I have been the last to leave and they only answer that you will be next and so they keep you waiting until who knows when. The medical care is excellent but the coordination or distribution of calls is terrible, not to mention the customer service. They never know anything."
"I went to MCR about a month ago with very bad back pain hoping to get help or a referral. I still have got neither. The only thing I got was a order from Dr Nina for blood work and pain pills. No referral and no discussion what should or could be done. She was very rude got upset when I could not answer some questions. When i tried to explain something to her she would constantly interrupted and would not listen. She made it very clear that she has a problem with SNOW BIRDS not bringing all the information she wants. I am sure she doesn't mind taking SNOWBIRDS money. Doctors are suppose to help patents not belittle them .She needs some training on being patient and people skills. I would not recommend her at all David L. Hefner"
"this place is horrible. i had a 4pm appt. 4:30 came around and i hadn’t been called back yet. i asked how much longer. the girl at the desk said there’s just one patient in front of you. she said her 3:40 still had to go back before me. like what!!! immediately cancelled because thats ridiculous. the staff are not pleasant at all. made me feel so uncomfortable to be there. i work at a doctors office and hope that our patients never feel like that. not to mention every appt i’ve felt like my doctor is running me out the door so i don’t understand how she runs behind. new: had to go back but was seeing a different person this time. they called me 4 times while i WAS AT WORK to confirm my appt. i can’t answer my personal phone at work. i also got texts to fill out information. as someone with a brain, i assumed this was confirming my appt. because why would i take time out of my day to fill out if i wasn’t coming. had to take the day off work to come. called twice on my way there and they didnt answer. once i got there, they said my appt had been cancelled because i didn’t confirm. what the hell is that? so not only did i lose a day of work, wasted my gas and time to get out there, but i didnt even see my doctor. doesn’t sound like an office who wants to help their patients if they are just going to kick them off the schedule. if they had answered the phone when i called they could have told me then. laziest workers i’ve ever seen."
"Unprofessional and rude. We brought our son back for an appointment and we’re told that we were next after each patient was called. After waiting an hour and a half I was asking for a manager and help. The front desk told me she couldn’t leave the desk or help. When I was clearly upset and trying to talk over my son who was screaming I was told to calm down. With no resolution I waited another 45 mins to an hour just to get my copay refunded. The staff started to record us. I’ve been a patient to dr. Ladines for 12 almost 13 years and I cannot believe the way we were treated. We have decided to switch providers as this office is no longer what it was.if you are looking for a provider in the area I would do your research and be careful. What happening today was so sad and completely avoidable. I was asking over and over for help along with others and I was the only one who was ignored. When I approached the front desk with a concern I was just told what I wanted to hear so that I would go away. Finally when I pointed out what was happening and how long I had been going thru this it was addressed by a manager who refused to listen because she felt I was too loud because I had to talk over a crying child. I left the office with no resolution and as I stood there to wait the additional 45 mins for them to refund my credit card they continued to bring walk in patients in within 10 mins. Literally everyone in the office was seen while I was waiting even the ones with no appointment and had just walked in. This system is horrible and should be addressed to better help the patients. It doesn’t help when the front staff is rude and does nothing to help you. After leaving I spoke with another patient that was waiting that I’ve known for years now who was called in right before I approached the desk again. She was seeing the same provider they just told me I was next to see. She was the 4th person to be seen while I was supposedly still waiting for an opening with that provider. The staff was either lying or doing it on purpose."
