HCA Florida Blake Medical Specialists - 75th Street - Primary Care and Specialties

"I've been on the fence about changing my longtime PCP due to the travel distance. I think that it is now time to make a change from HCA. In my December visit I presented my current insurance card at check in. They billed the previous plan which of course was denied. When I called to correct, the billing lady I spoke with was not very friendly. Two weeks ago, I made an appointment for a follow up visit using the Patient Portal for 11AM. At 7:15AM I was called and asked to come in at 9AM. I was unable to come in earlier due to a commitment. The lady wanted to explain about how the patient portal does not take into account the time length for other appointments. I really didn't need an explanation, just don't use the portal to schedule and if you do, look a day or 2 ahead to give patients time to adjust their schedules as well."

"Dr Ferguson, Surgeon / Radiology I was referred to Dr Ferguson for a lobectomy (lobe of lung removal with cancer). From day one, the staff & Dr set me at ease, answered all my questions. For my follow up after surgery an X-ray was ordered & it was so nice to have a radiology department in the same building so I didn't have to go somewhere else or wait for Dr to get results. The staff at the check-on desk were helpful & friendly!! I hope I don't need surgery again but if I did I would use this Dr/Medical group again."
