"I arrived at my first appointment to meet my new doctor, I walked in with my service animal and quickly turned around as I realized I had forgotten my mask. I ran back to my car and returned to find the door locked. There was a number on the door to get let in, which I called. A representative came outside to meet me and explained that the office does not allow pets. I explained that my dog was not a pet but a service animal trained to perform tasks such as alerting me to an upcoming seizure or seizure trigger. After presenting the tasks and that he was a trained service animal, I asked him to confirm that the doctor would not allow me entry. He entered the office, and when he returned, he asked if he had a service animal tag or was registered. I attempted to explain that there is no such legal registry. Still, I did have my medical file in which there was a letter from my old doctor to my employer stating my need for my animal. He said that was not enough and stated he had worked for the airport, so he knew what I needed. I was trying to tell him I also had the flight documents as I fly, but it was not a registry, but he closed the door and locked it. This office discriminated against me and recommend that anyone with a disability stay away, especially if you are dependent on a service animal to stay alive"
