"I completely understand the need for doctors to maintain their appointment schedules, however the patient is "paying" for services and this includes SOME interaction with the patient. Now just had our third appointment with Dr. Houston, each appt he rushes in/out of the room, completely relies on his support staff to set up any procedure, and follow up after he administers injection treatment. Dr. Houston doesn't even bother with a greeting, he rushes in and out so quickly. The most recent visit I tried to ask a question and he became annoyed as he was again just rushing out of the room. I repeated my question THREE times, so he stood at the door-jam, sighed audibly, and offered a very brief reply with obvious annoyance. Dr. Houston is being paid for his services, he should be more attentive to the patients, not just the procedure. Many patients' in the senior age group NEVER question the "white coats, i.e., doctors" however this is not acceptable for individuals who DO WISH to seek explanations or have questions answered. Wait times have been perfect, the staff is wonderful, caring, and professional. We will be changing doctors."
"The Florida Retina Institute exceeded my expectations! I have been receiving painful eye injections in NJ and needed to continue while in Florida. This office was recommended by one of my Florida neighbors who is a retired RN and claimed she did her research for a Retina specialist here in Florida and found this group to be excellent. I met with Dr. Kumar and her staff who were all amazing and I received absolutely zero pain from the injection. Best news was her review of my eye that it is responding to treatment and improving."
"The wait time is ridiculously long. Two hours is uncalled for. Doctors are very knowledgeable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only 1 doctor working in facility. Office temperature is cold. Waiting that long is poor business practice. When you make an appointment they should tell there will be a long wait. Made an appointment with Dr. Mavrofrides then I was told that I was to see a different doctor."
"Have been a patient for many years. Have always received excellent treatment and care from Dr. Mav and his staff. They pay attention to every detail and concern I have, and I always feel like they really care about me as a patient. Would give more stars if I could."
"This is a very busy office so the people that work there have to do their job and they do great. I'm happy to say I saw the good Doctor on time but sometimes due to emergencies you may have to wait a bit but you will get the expert care from all. That has been my wife's experience as well over several years of relying on their care."
