"the doctor that saw me was nice and did what he needed to do, giving me procedures for everything i felt needed to be checked and treated me with compassion. some of the staff on the other hand did not and should not be working in the medical field if treating people with kindness is something that bothers them, thats the whole point of being in the medical field. the person who did my IV was incredibly rough and it was the most painful IV i’ve ever gotten. he put the IV in low below my elbow which ive never seen anyone do, dug hard into my vein, and swung the needle around under my skin to find a different vein. never in my life have i seen anyone do something like this. after it was done and he was taking blood he yanked on the needle before he left, for what reason i have no clue. he asked if i was okay and i said it hurt, and the pulling hurt, and he just said that he wasnt. even tho my mom in the room was also witnessing this and even gasped when she saw how he was doing everything. instead of arguing against your patient for speaking on their discomfort you should fix what’s hurting them ? i hope to never have an IV this painful again in my life"
"I gave three stars only because every other experience has been positive outside of today, otherwise it would have been 1. I went at the instruction of my primary care and it was clear the doctor at the ER was unhappy about this. He immediately stated, “I’m assuming this was a nurse practitioner or something?” No one told me their names or introduced themselves outside of the very kind x ray tech and the registrar. The doctor didn’t come near me, (I was sent for suspected pneumonia that wasn’t clearing,) and everyone seemed quite bothered. I was told, “we do medicine differently than primary care doctors who put everyone on antibiotics and steroids.” It just seemed like most of the staff was having a tough day and while that’s understandable, it’s a shame when it’s taken out on the patients. I’ll know to call next time to make sure this specific physician is not working, otherwise we will go elsewhere."
"I am a seasoned 40+years as a practicing RN. I was playing with my Giant Schnauser and hit my head when I fell. I am also on Eliquis. After experiencing nausea and headache I went to the ER where I experienced a wonderful group of HCA employees. Dr. Nuss I believe is her name, was caring, listening intently and very outgoing. Stephen one of the RN’s was extremely capable and knowledgeable, again, always checking on me to see how my pain level was and if I was comfortable. The CT of brain and neck was done with speed and the tech, I forgot her name, was professional and very sweet. The RN that completed my EKG was, as the others, professional and had quite a sense of humor as we shared “nurse stories!” I work for HCA. I am so proud to share my positive experience with your ER and all of your wonderful employees. The front desk by the way was so happy I got to go home! By the way! I love the bulletin board with everyone’s pets! HCA! You are the best! Congratulate your employees at your ER! Best regards, Bonnie Parrish RN, M. Ed."
"My mom was transported via Pasco Co EMS to this facility after she fell out of bed. They ran some X-rays and discovered she had a fractured 14th vertebrae. Sent her home with 3 days of pain meds and a Drs number. Meanwhile it took two nurses to get her in the car and they really struggled. She should have never been sent home because low and behold she fell again this morning and hit her head and had no use of her legs . Which was a chief complaint to the medics and nurses yesterday. This is negligence 100% I will definitely be following up with elder care."
"Upon arrival I was taken quickly to a room even though I was not in serious distress. I had fallen off a bike and injured my foot which turned out to have several broken bones. The staff were quick, efficient, personable, and caring. I felt very well treated.Dr. Julie M, Joe RN, and Matt all treated me very well and so did the really sweet nurse who discharged me to the car. I feel bad that I didn’t get her name. I see that some people have rated this facility low and I’m sorry if they had a bad experience but mine was excellent. And SO much better than going to a hospital where I would have waited probably at least an hour or two to even get in a room. And as a word of caution - I was wearing a helmet which probably save me a head injury because my head bounced on the concrete. Helmets are important for your kids and even your self when you’re on a bicycle. On a note of comedy I was so glad that I’ve had my pedicure the day before which I only do three or four times a year. But they had looked awful yesterday and at least I wasn’t embarrassed about my toes."
