"Do not go to the school. Some of the teachers refuse to answer questions or have you wait to answer those questions the art classes are very intense. She told me I don’t follow directions and all I had to do was copy to art. It’s mentally draining and I’m leaving. The food is horrible. The uniforms are expensive and ugly and they are very strict on IDs. Also, they give out a lot of homework. The buses are disgusting. The teachers not all of them are bad or rude. Mr. Diaz is the best! Kind of big on attendance. I personally have a Lotta anxiety, and I also compare myself a lot to other people because you see girls there exceeding and having straight A’s in doing a bunch of extra activities out of the school and they make it look easy no hate to the girls keep doing what you’re doing. It’s just kind of hard because you feel like you’re not trying your best when you’re trying your best I can really trying and then you get like a 38 on a test. It’s just very personally me I got to a point where I didn’t care about my grades when I’m actually very big on my grades so my mother was surprised when I told her yeah don’t recommend go here"
"for me, making friends was hard when i first got here, but when i adjusted i met my own group of friends, but the teachers are welcoming and most of the students are nice when you adjust in here. this school is mostly good for the academics so if you love to study, i recommend this school but it can cause a lot of stress/anxiety if you don’t adjust, but most of the students are used to it by now. most of the students graduate with a scholarship once they graduate and many students have gone far with this school. some highschoolers are super nice to the 6th graders. i love ms brito, shes super sweet and helps you with math and mostly gives you time to finish homework but sometimes you gotta be fast in math class. mr thompson is also helpful with language arts and his class is generally a little boring but him as a teacher makes it atleast a little better. ms camejo is super sweet and she helps you with any spanish work and if u take her as an elective, she doesnt give out homework and helps you alot! other teachers as you get older get a little more stressful but i guess people are used to it now i guess? but the clubs are amazing and make alot of sales and activities and the staff other than the teachers are a little strict but ok i guess. also, the food isnt that good here tho. some people dont eat their food because of how gross it is. some students get food poisoning from it and i feel like they need to improve their food lol, the good thing is that it’s free but eh.. lol. other than that this school is good but can improve too."
"The school overall is nice and the education is amazing the but the kids and teachers are rude and there are so many problems with the teachers. I heard one of the teachers searched a kids backpack. But as long as you maintain good grades and make friends with the right people youll do good in the school."
"I feel like this school is good for the academics. However, emotionally this school can be draining and the constant nagging of certain staff is irritating. As a student, I feel as if the school focuses too much on maintaining their reputation as one of the top four schools instead of being more interactive with how the students are feeling. The staff don't clearly understand what we ,the students, have to say about the improvements that could be made to better the school. Some teachers even tell us all we do is complain instead of hearing us out. Also, some teachers need to realize that being intimidating or constantly expressing your emotions about how much students aren't as grateful and disciplined as them won't help us build relationships with our teachers. I have a few teachers who love comparing our generation with theirs and emphasizing the fact that we need to be respectful. Although at times I do agree with them about being respectful to staff, as some students are a bit over the top behavior-wise, there is no need in telling us that we are "disgusting" and so on. There are also some things between students that make me uneasy too. However, there aren't only bad things to say for this school. There are great people to meet here at the school."
"i like this school tbh, it’s okay, the classes are hard at first but you get used to that after a little while. the people are cool, some of the teachers aren’t responsible enough to do anything they say they will, but that’s only like one or two and they will by the end of the grading period so don’t worry. most of the teachers are amazing and the clubs here are awesome. So it’s hard to get used to, but you can do it if you want to. "
