"The Art Institute is AWFUL! Their financial aid is definitely a TRAP! And their curriculum is a joke. In the first class we did only 3 projects which was the equivalent to creating a business card. This waste of time will cost you $1500. The people in their financial aid department are rude as well - - and this was before even beginning class and further wasting my time. They will turn you in to collections within 90 days after beginning an appeal process to dispute charges with them. No legitimate institution is that quick to chase your money! Unless they are only after your money. TAKE THE ADVICE OF THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS AND MYSELF AND FIND ANOTHER, LEGITIMATE INSTITUTION TO ATTEND."

"they changed the curriculum while i was in portfolio. essentially adding another year in my third year. Financial aid was a scam. the Teachers were good, but the office staff and department heads were total fools and part of the scam. It's a scam. Every single person i knew that went there didn't a job anywhere near what they went to school for. This school is scam of epic proportions. Check class action lawsuits to see if your career choose is one of them. and the cost outside of the tuition is unbelievable. I spent thousands here for classes. I have nothing but debt to show for it. Go to a real school for art, any art, instead of this place. It is an endless drain on you, physically and emotionally. Never go here."

"The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale is an expensive private school. I was planning on going to go to this school for 'Game Design', but after looking at the prices and disadvantages of going to this school, I switched paths and doing something a little bit better. For the degree I was 'going' to go for would be around $100,000 for 4 years for a Bachelors Degree. Disadvantages? You don't get special holidays off, you spend years just in school, no days off, no breaks... nothing. Oh and did I mention that the credits don't transfer. After I came to my agreement I couldn't go with this school because with the stress that the school will give... students need breaks and also transferable credits would be nice just in case if I didn't like the school I was able to switch schools maybe like to Full Sail in Orlando."

"The Chefs, they are amazing. No doubt about it. But the administration such as financial aid, are terrible. The only people who have any idea what they are actually doing are the instructors. Everyone else has no clue how to do their job. You go to one person, they tell you one thing. Then, if you speak to another person they tell you something completely different. They will even loose your information and papers. A person I knew, the school lost their high school transcripts. This school is a joke. The only notable thing about this school is how accommodating some of the instructors are."

"It's a great institution, if you are serious about it and want to succeed. Yes, it is a lot of money at times to attend. Great Staff and Teachers are awesome!! I don't understand why so many people have issues with this institution?!?! I truly recommend this school, for anyone who wants to accomplish their dreams and has the determination to do so."
