"I switched my child from the CITY Program from Parkway to the IB program here. I love how structure the school is. I LOVE how involved and dedicated the teachers are. Your child actually LEARNS here. A lot of the teachers have old school menatalities for the quality of education. They have excellent safety protocols so you won't have situations of kids having sex fests in the bathrooms. Any section of the school not being used has its bathrooms locked. In the morning, the kids are separated into 3 supervised areas. Adults are escorted on and off campus for scheduled visits. All schools have their fair share of fighting among students. The campus is clean and well kept Unlike Parkway Middle. My pet peeve is how they group award ceremonies, the gifted children shouldn't be grouped with the regular students when it comes to acheivements. The gifted kids take High SCHOOL advanced classes. So a student getting straight A's on the averge level gets the same rewards as the gifted, or the gifted not acknowledged because they made Bs. The top performers of academic subjects are rewarded by grade, not by level. It is also unfortunate they don't have a PTA. I would have loved to help with that, so they could have more firld trips and school activities. The elective teachers ask you to supplies a lot and sometimes try to tie it into the grade. You can't do that in a title I school. And their trying to Build up the robotics program, which is at a very basic stage."
"I went to this school and all of the teachers were very rude to the students, even to the good and nice students who got good grades"
"This school is fantastic it does what a school need's to do. the staff is amazing don't get me wrong every school get's in fights but other than that your kids will love it at new renaissance middle"
"This is my last year at this school , the staff have been great but there is some flaws about school I recommend you check the school out before you take your children there ."
"When I went there 2013 to 2014 the students were ghetto and mean. But their staff's and principles and assistance principles were nice to me. Most of the security guards were nice to people. They did have mean teachers but most of them were nice to me."
