"This school is horrible. About 85% of the staff have an attitudes, not welcoming or friendly at all. The dismissal process is the worst, when you picking your children up prepared to wait 45 minutes before leaving The premises. I have 2 children that attends and I want OUT ASAP.. The school board must fix this."
"I have had my kids there since it opened. It has definitely come a long way. There have been great improvements and I see the strive to be better every year. Like any place, you have good and bad and there is always room for improvement. I have never had a bad experience and believe that communication has an impact. However, sometimes the improvement needs to be our own attitude. At the end of the day, my family and I are very pleased with this school."
"We made it to first grade. Pick up and drop off has improved greatly. Communication isn't great. nightly calls with messages, and the same information is emailed. But it would be nice to have direct contact with her teacher. Remain optimistic on this one. The volunteer hours are difficult to meet as a single parent, and the schools policy doesn't help. I came with my Mom to both volunteer at the same time, but we were told, only one person, per family is allowed. Really? There isn't exactly a line of people waiting to volunteer, but no, no exceptions were made. I found this very disappointing. There are people at this school who are always friendly, and some a little less so. My daughter is happy for now and that is all I hope for. It has started off better than last year, and we are hopeful it will continue to do so."
"We love it here! Yes the first year had a few issues (ie ..pick up and drop off) but that is only normal when dealing with a new school and having so many children and seems to have been addressed. Yes there are rules and the children AND parents are expected to follow but that is one of the things I like best. The staff seems to genuinely care about the children here and want them to succeed."
"After all the bad reviews, I thought I would contribute a realistic one. This is my first experience with the school system, as this is my first child. Are there a lot of rules at this school? yes. But if you listen and follow them, the experience so far seems to be good. Did we have to buy a LOT of supplies to go here, more than the other schools? Yes. But the other school in my zoned area had a F grade, and so I figure to receive a private school education for "free" I have no problem with the additional financial donations. It all balances out. Was the school a bit unorganized at first? Yes. But it has gotten better. Is the office staff including the Principal terrible at returning calls? Yes. But I now have my daughters teachers email address and communicate thru her. Does it take an hour to drop off at this school? No, not if you know you are supposed to be there by 7:15am, the entire process takes about 20 minutes. My daughter likes her school, and her teacher, and overall I am happy with it. I haven't dealt with rudeness, although I did see some eye-rolling going on from the staff during the first week. My experience is, treat others the way you want to be treated, and it usually pays off. If you are patient and polite with them, they will reciprocate. And this has been proven at this school. The only bad comment I have is, inside the school on the indoor playground, they had 2 classes crammed in there at the same time resulting in several injuries. They need to have less students playing in this area at a time. But overall we are very pleased with this school, and feel lucky to be a part of it. If you are the type of parent that can't follow rules, arrive on time, or communicate well then you are contributing to your child having issues as they rely on their parents at this stage in life. If you're willing to do your part, care, participate, and contribute to your children's success this is the school for you and your child."
