"PBSC is beyond useless. Please do not try and take courses here, the professors constantly drop students in the middle of the semester, forcing students to pay without finishing the course. The student accessibility office only has two employees for the entire college. Accommodations do not get submitted in time, I’ve had my best friend that has a disability get bullied in class by his own professor and the school does not do anything. It’s sad to see that a school like them exists. It’s 2023 and they’re inhumane and if it were a business. Please please please go elsewhere!"
"Great college! Parents start dual enrollment at 7th grade especially in intermediate algebra and reading classes. Their tech programs during high school are amazing. Look into dental assistant/hygiene, firefighters, pharmacy tech, computer programming, real estate agent, etc. Set up an appointment with palm beach state college academic counselor to start taking classes for your child. It's free. There is free tutoring for a lot of subjects! During high school, I recommend taking college level classes towards a bachelor's degree such as ENC 1101 , ENC 1102, and MAC 1105, for example. Lake Worth high school students have graduated with 60 college credits before senior graduation!!"
"I applied for a request, but they took too long to answer, and now they have dropped of my classes for which I already paid the books. I called there many times to solve the problem, and one of the times, they said I would not be dropped because of payment, and guess what? They seem not to know what they're doing. Now, they are saying there is no request in my file. I have emails that prove I applied, and every time I called to ask why they were taking too long, they could see the request, but now that they dropped my classes, they can't see it anymore?"
"Such a horrible experience I had today at PBSC, I’m completely disappointed on how they treated me today and honestly is making me think twice if I should start classes in August or just go somewhere else. First of all, trying to communicate from someone of Palm Beach is difficult, they never pick up the phone, never answer emails and there’s no way to get in contact with them, and since I didn’t have any contact information, I decided to go to campus to get help with my financial aid. The people on the office/admission center are terribly rude, always gossiping between them and truly never paying attention to your needs, they are rude, incompetent, and they give you horrible looks. When I asked for help, they barely spoke, and when they did, they spoke with an attitude, and honestly, I didn’t do anything or said anything to be treated like that. When I finally got help with my financial aid, I was told I could chose my schedule. I asked again and the answer of that lady was “I thought you already had one” rolling her eyes and in a very rude tone. Then, they helped me trying to make a registration to choose my classes on campus. The other lady asked me if I got my financial AID and I said no because it wasn’t approved because I don’t have a green card yet. Long story short, after everything she told me, she literally said “If you do not have for books, then is better not to come to class”. I feel so dissatisfied, disappointed and overall SAD! I was planning on starting my classes on August, but If I was treated like this on the admission center, I can’t imagine how am I going to be treated when u pay for my tuition and start classes. How sad."
"I received my associates degree here (2 year degree) and it was the best decision I ever made! The class sizes are small which is really helpful, and for the most part I was able to communicate with my professors easily after class if I ever had any questions. I used the tutoring service included in my tuition for math, chemistry, and english papers! I felt that I was prepared well because I was accepted to a university to continue with a bachelors degree which will take me another 2 years. I really believe that your experience here is what you make of it. Show up to class, ask questions, do the work and you will succeed :)"
