"Over all love the school. The professors are very knowledgeable and will work with you as long as you put in the work. Over all the program can get stressful and overwhelming but no one ever said nursing was going to be easy. As long as you put in the work they will work with you. The school offers lots of resources to help you throughout the semester. All the courses stick to the syllabus so there is never any surprises. Only con is that the program is pricy but I think it's worth it."
"I am taking my time to write this in-depth review because I usually look at reviews first (although I did not look at the reviews before coming to this school, because I found out about this school when I used to work in the Aventura Hospital and they had a booth) but I wanted to share my experience. I share a similar experience to Mercy. I am a current student at this school (I am on my third semester), and I have been really happy with my experience so far. My nursing journey has not been easy at all, and at one point, I had to stop attending school. Galen had welcomed me back with open arms and provided me with extra resources (besides the TONS that they already have) to smooth my transition back to school. Professors: I have had no complaints with any of the professor. They really do go out of their way to make sure that you are understanding the lectures. Some professors add in extra powerpoints with more information, add in extra notes and drawings (sometimes even BY HAND), and give you the ability to schedule a meeting with them out of class time for one-on-one tutoring. Resources: Besides your same teachers that provide extra tutoring, the school also provides tutoring sessions for most, if not all, of their classes. They also have their own online library system that not only provides you with professional resources and numerous databases for essays, but also provides SO MANY resources for SO MANY THINGS! They even have powerpoints and videos on studying methods and tips, time management tips, etc. Campus: The campus is hands down PERFECT, which is very important when you really think about it. The main lobby has plenty of tables for if you choose to study at the school, and they even have private mini classrooms with boards to write on in the back if you would rather study one-on-one with a study buddy or on your own. I am also obsessed with the campus store and all the clothes and things that they sell from the school. The blue leggings with the side pockets? I USE ON THE DAILY. All of the clothes that they sell, the leggings, jackets, and shirts are of the highest quality at an affordable price. The campus even holds little cute events and even offer free breakfast sometimes. I am very content with my experience with Galen, with no negative issues thus far. Ihave been recommending it to all of my friends that want to get into nursing. I am very proud to be a student here."
"Best place ever, great customer service from management team to staff."
"I love Galen and all it has offered me. I feel like it’s all about perspective. I’ve had my issues with my academic journey but I’ve taken accountability for everything, never once blamed Galen or professors because I’m on a mission despite any obstacles. If professors aren’t great (so far they’ve all been amazing) , I hunt for resources whether it’s the schools or anything I can find online because guess what, I don’t want anything spoon fed. I read my books, read the slides, watch videos etc but I search and do my part in learning the material. Unfortunately EVERY school will have its good and it’s bad to some extent. Personally, I PRAYED to get into nursing school in particular this school so you know what, I’ll take the ups and downs and make the best of it. If you ask me what I think of Galen I always say it’s a great school and I’m blessed to be in it. Yes I’ve had issues like everyone else but I don’t let that ruin my experience. I make the most of it and keep it moving. I hope this helps. Galen has become a family to me, and when I graduate I’ll be proud to say I graduated from Galen college of nursing, a great school."
"The reviews on this site are administrators that works there no wonder why it’s a small amount of people. Look for the real reviews for galen and stay away from this school. if you don’t want to waste your hard earned money."
