"Impossible to rate them with 0 stars:(!!! If you are a foreigner, please stay away from them. They will charge almost the double of what planned before you get enrolled with them. Than if you decide to leave, they close your Visa in such a way (writing fake motivations, es. Change of school) that to get another Visa you need a lawyer (personal experience). When I asked questions about why my visa has been closed with fake motivation, they have been so brave to ask for money to solve the problems! After 10 years and with EASA license they are still giving me problems. Without a lawyer was impossibile to come to US for a type rating renewal. STAY AWAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT IMMIGRATIONS PROBLEMS and mostly stay away from CARRIE. Still wondering how they are still open!!!"

"This managing staff are not respectful. They are short and rude and unaccommodating. The flight school XFlight just two hangars down is so much better. Their prices are better as well. Long story I short I scheduled a discovery flight for a friend whom was excited to try flying for the first time. They told my friend I couldn’t be in the back seat to show support - when I asked why (assuming it was an air craft issue or weight issue, etc. - knowing full well that would not be the case but nonetheless a good excuse for them) they said it was policy. Interestingly, the day before their instructor Logan had no issue taking us both but the weather wasn’t accommodating. The managing staff tried to pretend their instructors didn’t know the “policy.” To push I asked to read the policy because I had already paid for the experience. They said I couldn’t read the policy. They are either liars or just immature, rude and most definitely unaccommodating. If I was an instructor there I’d be counting the days until my 1500 hours were done, can’t imagine working for that managing staff. Please take your money down the road to a more affordable, more personable and enjoyable flight school. XFlight is also owned by an incredible person with a great story and family. They accommodating us as walk ins while Florida Aviation basically told us to kick rocks."

"I just finished my commercial here, transferred here while going through my private. I have had a very pleasant experience throughout my training. Clean facility, great instructors, my instructor ( Furkan ) very patient and professional. Due to those negative reviews I made the mistake of going to another flight school and I feel that none of those bad reviews have any bases in my experience. Carrie is very organized when it comes to check and balances of your account, Jack is one of most experienced pilots out there always ready to answer any questions. "I am very happy that I chose to do my flight training at the Florida Aviation Academy. When I decided to begin flight training, I did a lot of research and visited some other big name schools that are very well advertised. They seemed to be much less personal and did not really focus on the individual needs of each student. Over the past 6 months at this school, I was able to go from zero to 250 hours and earn my Commercial Pilot License. At one point during my Private Pilot course, I really became discouraged with my own performance and thought about quitting. Carrie, Jack, and my instructor Mike truly helped me to overcome my doubts. I strongly believe that they did this because they all actually care about their students success. I was able to move forward and pass all of my checkrides sucessfully. Also, I was able to complete my flight training with significantly less debt than the other big name schools. I am very happy with my experience and thank them all. If you are thinking of becoming a pilot, I would highly recommend this school."

"Best flight school out there period. You will have a hard time finding a better program due to their more than reasonable prices and the accelerated pace they allow you to move at. I came to Florida Aviation Academy with only a Private Pilot Certificate and within 3 months of continuous, and in depth flight training I had earned my Instrument Rating, Commercial Single Engine and Commercial Multi-Engine Licenses. Now I am working on my CFI and am expecting to be done with it in about a month. The school is very accommodating to life and personal needs and are willing to work with you if anything comes up. The school will also work with you to keep your costs down as much as possible which separates them from other flight programs I have encountered in the past. The chief flight instructor, Jack, is one of the most accomplished pilots I have ever met and has a fountain of knowledge he is eagerly waiting to share with every student that walks through the doors. The culture here is fantastic due to it professional and family like environment. Instructors are always available for help and are more than happy to sit down and thoroughly explain answers to whatever questions you may have. If you come to this school and apply yourself, it will be the best choice you will ever make for your future in aviation."
