Wayman Aviation Academy

"I would like to say that this academy DOES NOT care about the well being of their students. They just care about the money. When a student has an issue they do not do anything to help the student they just see that as an opportunity to get more money out of the students account. When you ask for help they literally do not care and turn their back to you. Even though you are the PAYING CUSTOMER they wont treat as such, they will just look at you as an opportunity to get more money. I have had two serious issues with this academy that involve A LOT of money and they never take responsibility for anything. When you ask for help NO ONE is available ever. The Chief Pilot when you are asking for help he is nowhere to be found and will NEVER do anything to help the students in need. They wont move a finger to provide you with a viable solution, the only solution they provide involves large amounts of money. In both of my problems I was left alone, in one of the issues I had, i was provided such a MEDIOCRE instruction the evaluator was not feeling confident to continue the test because he was scared of my preparation. At that point i had already invested a large amount of money and i had to put more money to continue. Even though this issue was the Academy’s fault they never did something to help me or provided some sort of compensation because of the WASTED money. I came to this Academy for a convalidation. I ended up paying the cost of the entire career or more. Be careful who you trust your future with, they just care about the money and their image."

"The staff do an excellent job fitting students into a program that works best for them. Wayman also hosts frequent events in conjunction with many professional pilot associations, and the opportunities to network and expand your professional aviation career are diverse and numerous. They give back to the community locally, alongside volunteer organizations such as the Ninety Nines. Their management is down to earth, empathetic, and honest with students and prospective students. Highly recommend this academy to anyone interested in flight training in South Florida."

"I had a great experience with my Intro Flight at Wayman. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Eva at the front office was quick to respond and did a great job setting me up with my first flight. I didn’t know what to expect when I first arrived at Wayman, but I quickly found out my Certified Flight Instructor, Choy, was awesome. He provided me with great instruction and made the experience memorable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in learning to fly. If you are looking for a larger flight school, Wayman seems like great place to learn."
