"Class of 2011. Great High School experience, a lot tougher and stricter than most schools in Miami, but it definitely prepared me for the job market which is its true purpose."
"as a current hs student I will say that this school is stressful but it is what you signed up for. I do have an exceptional teacher that teaches and prepares us for all of the certification exams. now that is just my academy teacher. the other teachers that shall remain nameless can either make your life a living hell or make class enjoyable while learning and are decent people that are considerate. there is no in between. in regards to administration, it is hard to get to them. you can speak to the principal and walk into her office but there is no need because the person you need to actually talk is Sears and she is pretty much in charge of everything. in order to talk to the assistant principal you need to go through like 3 different people and even write a letter she won't receive. why is she more important than the actual principal? idk but all I can say is that the school is dirty and ALL the bathrooms smell like death & period. You will find roaches, TONS OF MOSQUITOES, and rats. the floors are dirty and only the classrooms being visited are cleaned when they are expecting important people. many students have mental breakdowns because of all the work and stress. the uniform shirts are super expensive and I am broke so I buy shirts from Walmart and I got in trouble for not having a logo. it's $25 a shirt and does it look like I have the money for all of that???????? anyways you know what you're getting in to when you apply but you are better off going somewhere else. unless you really want the certifications, suck it up and deal with it because next thing you know you'll be walking across that stage getting your diploma."
"The technical school at night for adults is a joke! I'm currently in the Pharmacy Tech program and I regret starting... You're practically teaching yourself all of the material. It's a huge waste of time having to come 4 nights a week for 5 hours to sit in class and do nothing, since the teacher doesn't even lecture. If you're thinking about starting a vocational program here, think twice!"
"[ A ] Miami Lakes Educational Center (MLEC) is known as one of the best technical high school in Miami-Dade County. My high school experience there was phenomenal. The school provides a wide range of program which student can select from. The staffs there were excellent. MLEC also provide courses for adult who needs to pick up a quick profession. Throughout my four years at MLEC it was an A school. #ClassOf2013"
"It's a good school. Gets kinda boring sometimes but if you join clubs and get involved, you'll have a great experience"
