Reviews of Coconut Creek High School
"If you're TRULY smart you won't decide to come this school. Your even smarter if don't join the joke they call a "magnet program." I ignored the reviews when I was in 8th grade, and now I wish I hadn't. They aren't lying. The hallways really do smell like marijuana sometimes, the teachers can be disrespectful and teach absolutely nothing, and school spirit at this school is DEAD. Only kids in SGA participate in spirit week. The school also is always hiring new teachers why? Because a lot of them leave and then they hire new teachers who don't do a great job of filling the position of the teachers who left. The only thing I can say I've gotten from attending this school is mild depression and a DECLINING G.P.A. Also, kids in magnet program are no smarter/better than the kids who aren't. Literally anyone breathing can get in. I could go on but I'd probably run out of characters thats just how BAD this school is."
"9th assistant principal was disrespectful over a petty situation had my child standing in the hallway waiting for a response for 5 minutes and then caught an attitude because she claim she didn't say please and basically refuse to help her retrieved her belonging in a class that a teacher wasn't here to help with . The school contain a lot of favoritism not every students is treated the same towards the staff money was collected from my daughter from a club and the funds were used incorrectly ask for a refund about 2 months ago yet to hear about any progress on it. if your not hunting them down everyday about it there not going to follow up on it. only thing good about this school is the certification in health science but your child can get that at ATC or ely."
"This school is phenomenal. The teachers are focused on ensuring that every student is college ready. As you walk through the school halls a culture of Cougar Pride is evident. The student(s), teachers and administrators CARE about the kids. They are driven to go above and beyond. In my opinion, this is a recipe for success. Industry trends forecast that we as a nation need to educate youths to achieve their dreams. This is crucial in this everchanging/competitive job arena. Next, in the 21st century it is necessary to choose a high school such as CCHS which offers a variety of programs which will enrich the student by allowing them access to achieve multiple industry certifications. Folks here in this community believe in this school. Additionally, parents, teachers, administrators work tirelessly to ensure that the Coconut Creek High School brand will make an impact in todays competitive job marketplace."
"I known this school from the mid 90s. Education was a big factor and the graduation rate was higher than other schools around including Ely and Deerfield High. Great teaching who cares for their students. This school was also known for their music program, which was one of the best in Broward County."
