"Teachers beware: the owner of the school will try to avoid paying you the full salary amount stated in your contract. Our salary continues to be paid well into the summer to reach that agreed upon number (48k starting salary for Broward county teachers, for example). The owner of this school issued a letter to teachers stating that "summer pay' would not be paid that year. In other words, she attempted to pocket the balance of my salary. Of course, I came into the school the day the check didn't appear on my bank statement. Ran into some parents as I waited to speak with the owner of the school, and she stated that the contract does not dictate the agreed upon salary. Long story short, I left the meeting with my check. Had I not, parents outside would have heard an earful (classy, of course) on how teachers are not compensated as both parties (employer and employees) per contract. The owner is sly. If you are a beginning teacher, be careful please. Keep your contract and have a spine to get compensated fully for your week's worth. Also, look for an opportunity elsewhere because you should not have to deal with shady practices on top of the stress of teaching. Good luck! Parents: the children's lunch is much too small. They are under feeding kids."

I am glad to say that this is my school.. only because the teachers here are supportive and soooo helpful. I could keep going about how great of a school this is buut I won’t.. just know rise academy is a great school..and one big family."

"This school is a good charter school for your child. If they are not doing so well the teachers and staffs will take time to go over the problem your child is having in that subject. Their mission is to make everyone kid in that school to have a successful future"

"The school is amazing there only needs to be a few changes to the school lunch and some language classes. All of the teachers are amazing especially ms.king ,ms j, all the middle School teachers and coach sasso their stem program is amazing and they provide many resources , drama club is one of the best programs . As for sports, I feel like the girls basketball team needs more training and resources, and also the teachers teach us in a way that puts all of us into consideration and they make the material easy to understand."

"My daughters had been there since kindergarten and I never have problems with anyone in particular, so they still working harder to improve different areas that they need to be fixed. Everybody makes mistake but to make school better parents and teachers need to work together with the principal. Instead of complaint just bring the solution or suggestion to the principal, then everyone will be fear enough and very happy. By the way I love Rise Academy because when I go to pick up my girls , they do not. want to come home. They LOVE it."
