"I went to AccessPoint healthcare on Sunday, February 18. I was denied healthcare, because I refused to provide my Social Security number. While I do realize it is the privilege of the UC to do so I feel I was terribly wronged. My husband has served this country for 24 years and we have the best military retirement insurance available through TRICARE. I did provide my military ID, which has a number on it that equates to my husband, Social Security number, however, was told that unless I provided my Social Security, they would not give service. I have been informed by many bureaus not to give my SS number to doctors offices b/c they are frequent victims of hacking and fraud and people have their identity stolen. I asked to speak to management, but I was told I would have to wait because they were all busy with patients. It’s not like I was coming in for cancer treatment. All I needed was some steroids and I was more than willing to pay my co-pay upfront. I do not recommend this healthcare facility and I will never be back."
"Excellent doctor. Despite his hard work in medical school I am glad he is not burnt out. Always greets with a smile. Highly recommend him!!"
"This was a bizarre experience. Incredibly bizarre. First, they got my last name wrong and when I corrected them I got attitude like I wrote it wrong? I think I know how to spell my own name. Then I started listing off my symptoms, and the whatever she is told me I had to pick one thing I was there for. What if all my symptoms were connected? I'm not a doctor, I don't have a diagnosis. I was under the impression that when you go to a doctor you tell them your symptoms and they tell you what you have and how to fix it. To me my symptoms do not seem connected but they all happened at the same time so, maybe they are? Like, did they expect me to diagnose myself and then go in there and tell them that I have something particular and tell him what medication I need for it? Like, then you're going to have to pay me the big bucks I guess because that isn't my job. So I picked one, and they tested for what I thought it might be, it came back negative, so now I'm still coughing, covered in hives and rashes, with pain in my back and painful urination with something that may fix one of them, possibly? Like, okay so maybe I need two things addressed? Maybe I need a second test because the first one came back negative, maybe we need to test for something else?? Do I have to go back out to the lobby and wait for another hour and a half? It just seems like such a waste of time for everybody involved. So I guess I'm going to go to another doctor tomorrow for my cough and hives. And the doctor talking over me was really crummy. That is one of my biggest pet peeves and I shut down so quick after that. I'm autistic so it's pretty hard for me to speak up anyway , but I've not had any help or anyone to advocate for me in a long time so I'm getting better at advocating for myself when it comes to healthcare , but it really throws me off when someone talks over me. I know you're in a rush and I'm nothing to you and you don't care if I live or die, but you could at least act like you don't feel that way. I guess it was my fault for going in right at lunch time. I feel like I really fell through the cracks. And I went here because the reviews were so good but I'm starting to wonder if they were written by employees."
"Pisting for husband Ralph. Was seen timely. Medical staff was knowledgeable. Dr. Was awesome and personable as well as knowledgeable. That’s rare as I am a nurse of thirty years and rarely see those all together. Already had our insurance info. Very pleased overall."
"I’ve been seeing this doctor for about 4-5 months now. After having multiple communication issues with my previous provider, I stressed the importance of being able to get my medications in a timely manner and working with me to ensure they’re at the pharmacy. This office has been SO great with that. One small medication issue last month that was resolved in a timely manner. Having the urgent care is a huge benefit also. Highly recommend for urgent or primary care needs."
