Reviews of Okaloosa Heart & Vascular Center
"I usually do not post negative reviews but OHVC has been by far the most negative experience with a health service provider I have ever encountered. Not only was the health services provided to me inadequate and close to fraud the administrative staff at both locations I dealt with were rude, and made it seem as if I was an inconvenience to interact with when attempting to gain information, make an appt, or retrieve medical records. The experience forced me to a new practice that has been like a night and day difference."
"I went here for a review of the test results. I was required to be 15 minutes early. I was 25 minutes early for my 10:30 am appt. After 45 minutes and seeing patients go back that came in after me, I went to the front desk to ask how much longer. They could not tell me. They couldn't get up and go check with the nurses. They just said soon. I waited and waited. I have severe back problems and I have problems dealing with crowded areas. The lobby was packed. More and more I saw people called back that came in after me. Leaving before me. It was almost noon before I was called back for vitals. I was then escorted back to the lobby for another ten minutes or so. I am put in the exam room and told he would be with me shortly. Another 15 or 20 minutes goes by before he comes in for a whole five minute's. To tell me I am fine, and what my other heart doctor saw was gone. He would see me in six months. I guess angina is common and nothing important. I don't know. I was going to say something at check out and I was sidetracked, and didn't get it asked. I was upset to open the door and see the lobby empty. I guess my time isn't important. I tried to call and it rang and rang. Finally someone picked up and said please hold. I am used to that, but not for almost 20 minutes. I finally hung up. I guess they were at lunch. They could have said that or better yet put and answering machine on stating that and to leave a message. I try again after a brief stop. It was after one. Someone picked and and put me on hold again for the same amount of time. I think they have caller ID or something. I hung up again. Later on in the afternoon I called again. This time it was answered and I wasn't put on hold. I mentioned I was upset about the wait and didn't want it to happen again, due to my issues. She was confused as to what to do. I told her to put it in my chart. There was no reason for me to have been made wait two hours to be seen. All the people that had appointments after me were seen and gone before me. The lot was empty. There was no need for them to have brought the doctor in when I had my last test, either. I got charged for that. I didn't have a heart issue. I was having a personal issue. I was embarrassed and humiliated that day. I don't feel like I was treated well today. I felt like I was unimportant so they kept pushing me down the list. If they didn't want to see me before 12 then they should have made an appointment for me at eleven thirty. I would have gotten in and out of their way."
"Solid 1 star. Unbelievable wait and all the existing patients agree this is to be expected. The staff was either really nice or really not nice. A few of each extremes."
"Staff is nice but been to both offices in fwb and Niceville. Don't be in a hurry They ask you to show up 15 minutes early for your appointment and then wait in the waiting room for over a hour each time just for your scheduled appointment. I guess my time is not as important as there's"
"Truly disappointed in this office. Every visit is a 2+ hour wait. They charged me for a copayment that I told them I was not supposed to pay. Two months later, the staff is still unable to figure out how to refund my money. I went in for my follow up today (that I waited 2 months for) just to find out that they never sent in my holter monitor. My echo results show inconclusive due to quality. I could go on, but I hope you get the point and find another cardiologist."
