"I had a hand surgery with doctor Watt previously and it was a good experience despite having to have surgery... I just booked a new appt for something else and Stacy was a pleasure to deal with. So far all my experiences with this company have been positive."
"First of all scheduling is a nightmare. We were referred by immediate care to orthopedics associates we made an appointment in Destin because no appointments were available in fwb. We arrived on 12/14 @915 for our appointment. Walking in they couldn't find our appointment on the schedule so they had no paper work for us to fill out because they print paper work ahead of time in the morning for each patient? No extras so they told us we had to reschedule unfortunately I told them our situation (my 12 year daughter was in a car accident so her wrist needed to be checked out ) after standing there for a bit trying to figure out what to do with us - they said to drive to fwb and a doctor would see us there and the front desk would know we were coming. I initially wanted an appointment in fwb since we live in shalimar. We make the drive back to fwb - we arrive the front desk has no idea what I'm talking about - she calls destin they tell her the same - they have no idea. She finally gets a hold of someone who does know and clears up the mix up . I'm handed paper work we see the doctor - she gets a cast put on. 4 week later cast off. Dr tenholder comes in for less than 5 minutes says okay how does it feel asks my daughter to move her hands she does. Prior to this my daughter had been crying saying it still hurts. I told dr tendholder that my daughter wasn't pleased - he talks to her & her being 12 doesn't answer him much she said she was fine. He says no Pt is needed because she is a child and it's her wrist- I asked if she gets a splint he says no - and I could go to Walgreens and purchase one since the ones they have there are expensive... so we get sent off . My daughter cries in the car. I go back in plead my frustration- the front desk talks to a doctor - it was a dr I haven't seen before he did kindly talk to my daughter in the car assuring that her wrist will be sore. We go home. Still I feel not at ease I call back explaining the situation to the front desk she gets a nurse on the line. She talks to a dr . Dr tendholder gets on the line and says how he wished my daughter would have been more vocal he doesn't want upset children ever. I feel as if we should not have walked out those doors without a splint - regardless of cost or not!! Something to protect my daughters wrist. We ended up buying a splint from Walgreens $30 . Also why was she not given a follow up appointment? I would think the dr would want want to make sure her wrist healed properly, he did say that her wrist was not healed 100% I'm so frustrated with how nonchalant the dr was. I've tried to call the office no luck since there are always 45 callers in line"
"I've always paid in cash. Haven't been there in probably 12/15yrs ago. I remember going there and paid cash to see a doctor. I forgot who he was, he told me to walk it off. Later finding out I apparently owe them $$$$$$$$. They show no record. You owe us x amount. Ludacris price amount. Please stop sending me ads. I will never go there because it's useless."
"I am a VA consult and was treated with respect and professional customer service. The medical staff (PA and MD) was thorough and respectful, but I expect nothing less from two military veterans. Very happy with my experience at Orthopaedic Associates and look forward to working with them in the future!"
"I started out with respect and confidence in Dr Seales. But when I return to get a knee injection shot to eliminate my knee pain. His PA came into the room and was asking me questions right away about lab tests. By initials, and I couldn’t hear him clearly because of the echo in the room and his manner of speaking. I finally stated that if it was a test I probably had, had it due to my right below the knee amputation. I asked about surgery recovery time, which led the PA to state that if I have the shot today, I wouldn’t be able to have surgery for 2 to 3 months after the shot. Because of my left side weakness and the right side amputation I had been falling quite a bit lately and I was leaning towards surgery. I stated that The questions i had needed answering specifically by dr Seales my concern for falling and would acute rehab be available. Furthermore I have a bad history of infection in my bones. I needed to have a conversation with dr Seales also in regards to what kind of antibiotic protocol would he use? These were questions only the doctor could answer, that he would know what I’m thinking about and feeling insecure about prior to surgery. The PA left after I said I needed to talk with the doctor before I could go through with the shot in my knee. That until we spoke I wasn’t doing anything further today. Dr Seales came into the room and before anything he was abrupt about how I didn’t let his PA answer my questions I said that he couldn’t answer my questions because I had specific ones that I needed the doctor to commit to, Dr Seales’s response was go ahead and get on with it. I don’t have time I have other patients to get to. I would assume if the PA could say she wasn’t cooperative he could have also said she has some specific questions in regards to acute care and antibiotics because Dr Seales had already stated that I was high risk for infection in a prior appointment. Then Dr Seales says I want you to go see my colleague. Not like as in a second opinion more with the tone as in I’m done with you. So if the PA can’t verbalize to the doctor and the doctor can’t verbalize to me without being abrupt, I don’t have faith in either the PA or the surgeon anymore Geri D"
