"I like this school, yes they are strict but it's not the administrations fault that kids won't listen. I'm in the school orchestra (bass) and it's like a family, the school has great spirit. All you have to do is be nice to your teachers and they'll be nice back. The deans could ease up a bit but whatever you won't have to deal with them if you do what you're told (p.s the guidance counselors are so AMAZING if you have questions about the future of even your schedule they'll take care if it). Mrs Chiavini, the principal, is also very nice. And as a student my teachers do a pretty good job of explaining each topic and you are allowed to go in for lunch if you're still not clear."
"Coming from a different middle school, this is my daughter's first year at SCMS and so far so good. I like it way better than Parkway middle school! She did have an incident where another student told her that "white people run this world and Donald Trump will send her back where she came from" but I had a talk with my daughter on how to handle racial comments. Sometimes it's what these kids learn at home! Smh I haven't had much interaction with the teachers, I'll take that as a good sign because my daughter has good grades and they haven't complained about anything. The only thing that I'd say is that the staff at the front desk should be more welcoming and express more positivity and friendliness because it rubs off on the students! Overall so far, so good!"
"Awful School you have to realize 11 to 14 year olds are still children and I get it they're hard to control but with your new strict rules good children are being punished I think I'm a well rounded kid I get good grades I'm quiet and I don't get into trouble I was tardy to one class one class and spent my lunch on the sit where you want day crying in the detention room they had made me feel like garbage like I was the scum of the earth that it was my fault. the staff does not care about the children some do but not the principal nor the vice vice principals care for the children garbage school. I have also seen the janitors clean the table with mops they also use on the ground disgusting"
"This school don't care about the kids, I complain so many times about bullying, and teacher with actitud the assistant principal she have a nasty actitud, I have to go to the Osceola district to complaint I have to report even the nurse, everyone in this school don't care I report the social worker cause No one do anything about it and I'm still waiting for a meeting with the math teacher for 2 weeks now. This school the staff and students they are a mess. Do not take your kids to this school, they are going to be depresse and they are going to hate school"
"Just the second day and already this school doesn't seem to care about their students. When students have to walk 1.6 miles through bad sidewalks, two street lights and no crossing guards, no sidewalks and road work to get to school is unforgiving. When told all the students have to do is press the button to cross not one but two busy intersections is no big deal. There is a big problem. Also when you find out their are perverts living in the area as well and we are to let out young kids walk that far at 6:20 am to get to school on time is unheard of. Where are the buses? When the students have grandparents that live where there is busing so they can be picked up and dropped off and we are told the bus drivers will get a roaster that if the kids name isn't on it they will not be let onto the bus. What kind of people are responsible for our children."
